4 weeks has gone quick!
WORTH IT$5,199
I thought I would update you guys, it's 4 weeks go today I joined the flat side, and I'm going to be honest....
It's been the most difficult recovery, even more so than my 2 c sections, don't expect it to be the same. The TT has taken a lot longer to recover and the pulling pains go on forever. I can't manage cleaning my whole house, or a day out as by 3pm I start to hurt. The outside has healed beautifully and I'm very happy with my result, Dr Hurren is amazing! The inside takes longer especially if you have lipo. I had a tiny reaction to the tape they put over my scar which caused a blister but I've since gone without tape and it's loads better. I enjoy baths as it helps with muscle pain. I can't get into my pre-op clothing still, as it digs in so just chillin in joggers, can't wait to wear clothes comfortably, everyone heals at a different pace so I'll have to be patient, something I've learnt from this is patience. I feel thick from under my breasts down but this feeling is normal, I made a lovely American friend who also had a TT around the same time so we compare constantly and reassure each other & I know she feels the same about being thick :)
People ask me wether or not I'm happy and has it all been worth it, my answer so far is...I don't fully appreciate it yet as I've not worn tight clothes, been shopping or anything so I've not really experienced the good, I've just experienced being stuck in with nothing to do & I now can't remember life with my belly hang. I know once things return to normal I will be over the moon & in 6 weeks time I will be in Spain wearing the clothing I couldn't face wearing in all previous years.
I don't want to scare people but I want people to realise it's not easy and a TT should be a last resort if nothing else works. I don't for one minute regret it, but I wouldn't go through it again, I'm glad it's over with:) boobies next though for me ;)

Holy moly!! That's amazing. Are you doing anything to promote this, diet? Extra rest?

Hi cabcaller, I've been taking it easy, still been on my feet doing odd bits but I listened to my body and new when to rest. I have a smoothie everyday, it contains Coconut milk, banana, honey and granola frozen yoghurt and blueberries. I've been eating lots but small amounts at a time. Not sure if this is the reason but I do think these things have certainly helped. Good luck with healing, keep in touch with how everything goes :) clare

Your tummy tuck looks great
I just had one with the same consultant and it looks worse than before the op. I have a pooch now that wasn't there before. I'm so upset. Looking to get a revision now as waited 30 years for this tt.

Healing
I'm healing so well, I do think it's down to eating well and lots of rest. I'm doing exactly what the nurse has said and it's paying off as my scar is faint and I have no openings or scabs. Still get stitch like pains and some aches in my muscles but that's normal so not worried. Reckon by week 4 I'll be brand new!
