I've wanted larger boobs since I was about 19....

I've wanted larger boobs since I was about 19. After years of thinking about it I finally decided to go for it. I always thought I would wait until after I had children to take the plunge but now at 34 I have decided I'm not going to wait anymore. I went to a few different doctors. One in Manhattan, a female plastic surgeon who I really liked she was $9,500 and another doctor in Queens who was only $5,000. I ultimately decided on Dr. Greenwald in Harrison New York. Although his office is 30 miles from my apartment he had the right combination I was looking for: affordable, very experienced and pleasant personality and staff.

Day 1-
The surgery was a breeze. I arrived late to my appointment and was super stressed. The staff at Dr. Greenwald's office were just fantastic. They reassured me that everything was going to be fine and not to worry. My procedure was set for 2pm and I had my last bit of food and water at midnight the night before. I tried to sleep in late to distract myself from the thirst (I'm a big water drinker) but I really couldn't-surgery is a big deal and I was pretty anxious.

Once I got to the office things moved along pretty quickly. I signed a few release forms and before I knew it was in a paper gown on the operating table. I really liked the anesthesiologist, he chatted with me a bit which helped me calm my nerves. Next thing I knew, 50 minutes later, I was sitting up in the recovery room. I actually didn't feel too drowsy and although they wheeled me out to the car where my boyfriend waited I really felt like I could have walked. I got home around 4:30pm and had a bit of soup along with my meds. I napped a bit and watched some TV. I did set an alarm for myself to take my meds during the middle of the night-a tip I learned from reading so many other realself reviews.

Day 2-
I felt a little more uncomfortable today than I did day 1. I guess those nice nerve blocks the anesthesiologist had given me finally wore off. I was sore and tight. My boyfriend couldn't get over how poor my posture was, I guess it's usually pretty good. I took the antibiotics as scheudled as well as the muscle relaxers. I tried to ween myself off of the hydrocodone today and just take extra strength Tylenol. I managed all day on the Tylenol but switched to the heavy stuff at midnight with the hope I could relax and fall asleep. I'm feeling lots of warm sharp pain deep in my breasts. I am frankly very swollen. I know lots of women are snapping pictures on day 1 and day 2 but frankly I'm a little afraid to look. Tomorrow I can shower and I'm looking forward to that. The pain stinks but really the hardest part has been staying at home all day. I'm a busy body!

Here's what I looked like the day before surgery

I never really hated my boobs I just always thought they were a little small for my 5'11" frame. I am very active so at times it was nice not to have boobs that got in my way.
