I had developed excess skin on my upper lids and puffy under eye bags which was upsetting having always taken great care of my skin. Some of it was genetic and unavoidable. I decided to have surgery as a friend recommended Mr Townley having had a very successful outcome. There was no pain after surgery only a lot of bruising and blurred vision. I slept sitting up and used ice packs to reduce the puffiness. Stitches were removed after 6 days and I went back to work after 14 days but needed longer as they still looked sore. A week after the stitches were taken out my eyes became very sore and bloodshot which needed strong eye drops to heal. Now 6 weeks and getting better everyday and starting to see a big difference.

I can see again! Six weeks after surgery and starting to feel the discomfort was all worthwhile

Did you have uppers and lowers done? And if so, were your lowers inside or outside the eyelid (transconjunctival or on the surface?) It all looks great, a huge improvement. Hopefully (for you) you could see before 6 weeks were up ! I'm having it done at end of July so I'm hoovering up all the recent bleph stories and recoveries at the moment! Thanks for posting

Hi, I had upper and lower eyelid surgery, the lower incision was under the eyelashes. Expect a lot of bruising and discomfort but I had no pain. I took Arnica tablets 2 weeks before and after this helped a lot with healing. I'm starting to feel happy with result. Good luck

Hi Anna, me again. I had my procedure on 25th July & all went well. I'm glad I came back to your review as not many people write of having blurry vision. I'm 7 days post op today, & I presume it's to do with pressure, swelling & all the drops one has to put in. Very frustrating with all the post care sheets one is given @ hospital & usually I like to read all the contra-indications sheets/info etc on any medicine I'm prescribed. After a few 'clearing' blinks, I get vision well enough to write this, eg or read for limited time. I see surgeon today for stitches out & will ask there. But thanks for mentioning, I feel less concerned now. Hope you are still revelling in your new look!

Wow, what a great result! When did you feel comfortable wearing eye makeup again? I am three weeks post op, and the scars are still kind of irritated, so I'm hesitant to put anything on them. Can't wait to try eyeshadow again!
