My skin looks and feels amazing

WORTH IT
I was so indecisive about getting the Halo laser treatment because of some reviews stating they had bad experiences but this is the only laser treatment I found that doesn't require much discomfort and downtime. I am so HAPPY with the results.
I have enlarged pores on my cheeks, some left over small acne scars, and pigmentation. I mostly got this laser treatment for the enlarged pores on my cheeks that looked like small little bumps. Whenever I would put on makeup, those pores would definitely show more and it bothered me so much! I also am 27 so I wanted to do it for the anti-aging benefits.

How my procedure went:
First I want to say, make sure you go to someone legitimately experienced with Halo laser treatments and who does them all time. It is so important you trust your esthetician.

My esthetician gave me numbing cream to take home so I can put on 45 minutes-1 hour before my procedure. That's what I did and boy did the numbing cream help. She than gave me 1 pill of pain medicine they had at the clinic. I took this right before my procedure. I than washed the numbing cream off and she than started up the laser machine and off she goes. I DID NOT FEEL 1 thing because of the numbing cream.
After she is done, your face I will tell you BURNS!! it feels like you were under the sun for 5 hours and the burn just wont go away. I was in the room still for another 2 hours with a cooling machine over my face. She was so sweet and told me I can sit there for as long as I want till I don't feel much of the burn. It is important your esthetician does this for you and gives you this option because if he/she doesn't, you will literally feel so much pain on the drive home. After I can tolerate it, I went straight home and fanned myself for another hour or so till it really subsides.

THE DOWNTIME:
I will say you will need at least 4 days of downtime at home. I did my treatment on Friday morning (taking Friday off from work) and I went back to work on Monday with my face peeling and flaking so much under my makeup. I will say, if I do this treatment again which I will again in Spring, I will make my treatment day on Thursday morning. Unless you don't feel embarrassed walking around like a mummy, than do it on Friday.
Now on the 2nd and 3rd day after, you will feel a slight headache. It is important to elevate your head so the blood wont rush to your head. It is also important to walk around the house a little. And also, go outside and get some fresh cool air for 5 minutes or so. This will calm you. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT PICK AT YOUR SKIN. the healing process will begin after your treatment, you will probably see bubbles around your nose, peeling skin, redness, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR SKIN, and always put the creams on your skin as gentle as possible, no rubbing. if you peel or pick at your skin, this will cause scarring and more hyperpigmentation you do not want. Your skin is in the heeling process, meaning you don't pick it. You don't pick at stitches after getting your knee scraped do you? No! so don't pick at your skin.

Moisturizers/ointments I used:
So, your esthetician who did your treatment will provide you with SPF 50 creams, and also petroleum AKA Vaseline. She will give you directions on when to use this and how. I also bought myself my own creams, water spray, and facial cleanser all from the brand Avene which you can get at a walgreens/target.
Avene Cold Cream I would use as my moisturizer if I did not need something heavier like the Vaseline given to me.
Avene Thermal Spring Water I would use if I needed a cool down (which was most of the time lol)
Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser I would use for my face cleanser. You should only use a MILK cleanser during this time as they wont be drying to the skin.

Overall: after about 1 week my skin looks phenomenal, the pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I now get compliments on my skin, AND I NEVER HAD gotten compliments on my skin randomly from strangers. I LOVE THIS TREATMENT! Overtime, your skin will get better after this treatment while its renewing.

THANK YOU HALO! :)

Hi Jenna. Thanks for taking the time to review so thoroughly, I want to do this too & live in your area so I really appreciate the reference as well. Is there someone I should ask for?

Hi, I'm sorry I just seen this, but I went to RTH plastic surgery in Bingham farms and I saw chavon :) she is very patient, kind, and will listen to your concerns.

Thanks for sharing! What strength/level was used on your skin? ... 25, 30, etc?
October 18, 2017
That is a really good question, I have no idea what strength level she used. I will ask this her this Saturday and will respond to you later later this week. I get BBL treatments every 6 weeks so I see my esthetician frequently :)

Sorry, I am just now getting to updating my review. But since I got asked a few questions, I would like to show you pictures. I also am excited to let you all know I will be getting my second Halo treatment in November :)
In all these photos I am wearing makeup so it is a little difficult to tell the FULL results, but you can definitely see a difference in my before and after. My before pic is when I was traveling outside of the country and when I travel my skin goes crazy bad because of the environment change so you can def. see how my skin reacted. I hated this about my skin and that's one of the other reasons why I got Halo.
