Ow. We'll See if It Was Worth my Face Being on Fire
I had BBL and Halo the same appointment, BBL first. Between the two I got numbing cream on my face and had to wait 40 minutes for it to start working. The Halo itself wasn't comfortable but I could get through it. However, afterwards, OW. OWWW. I was told I'd have a little heat for half an hour but my skin was melting off my face for an hour and a half, it was horrible. I don't know if it was worse because I got it at the same time as the BBL but holy chicago it was the most awful thing. I would never do the two same day again.
My face was ridiculously swollen for 3 days. For 2 more days after that it was flaking to the point where makeup wouldn't have really helped. I'm 8 days out now and I'm still pretty red, but if I wore makeup I'd look normal. I'm purging pretty bad too.
Based on my conversations with the folks at the office, many of whom have had it done, they said that the effects are worth the discomfort and swelling and all that so we'll see how it turns out. At the time I was cursing myself for choosing to get it and thinking I would never do it again, but if the results are good it's really not that long of a time to be feeling miserable. And my misery might have been less without a BBL at the same appointment. I would not do this without a long weekend plus two days off work.
