WORTH IT$6,400
Hello Dolls, Im sorry I disappeared, Not that Ive been doing much, but healing, I have no excuse, Ive just had some ups and downs to deal with. Felt a bit depressed for a couple days and then got a sinus infection which has been difficult to deal with, got prescribed some z-pack antibiotics and cough medicine and its now starting to clear up, I put it down to getting out of the house too early. I went out to eat on day 7, and I think my immune system wasnt up to the germs and bugs out in the wild LOL. Anyway, Im doing much better now, my drains are still in, and Im still sleeping on the sofa, But i thought I would share some updated new pics with you guys!! Ive also been shedding pounds, which is great!!! I think its as a result of not being able to eat much, as I feel full very quickly these days. I was 218 the night before my surgery, and am now 201.8 as of this morning!! Woo hoo!! Ive gone from a size XL/1x, to a L/M. Im so happy!!
Please Ask me any questions!! Im happy to help!
P.s. Please ignore the mess in the backround of my pics,.. I havent been getting around much since the surgery and my house is a little messy, also.. I dont sleep on a mattress on the floor, lol, that's my second spare bedroom.. Im just waiting for the new bed to be delivered as im still moving into this apartment. Just wanted to clarify incase anyone was wondering LOL

Just a little look back to surgery day

Realized I never said anything about the actual surgery day. My surgery was scheduled for sept at 12.30, but the day before I got a phonecall telling me it had been rescheduled to 7.30. No problem but I would have liked a little more heads up of the time change in future since the people who were taking care of me have lives and arrangements of their own that they rescheduled around me. Arrived at 7.15 at the office in my robe, had probably had an hour sleep the night before from a combination of a break-up-worthy arguement with my boyfriend and the stress of undergoing my first ever surgery. Needless to say, it was all down to business when I got there,.. Got changed in the bathroom, went into the room to see dr salama who proceeded to mark me up ready for surgery, I expressed some concerns about the possibility of my tattoos becoming distorted and we agreed he could remove whatever skin necessary aslong as it would leave possibility for a coverup. Then the anesthesiologist came in, a nice cheery guy, and we discussed what was going to happen, my medical history again, and possible side affects. This whole time my boyfriend was made to stay outside even though I really wanted him to be there with me through the process. Policy? Fine. Went into survey, got positioned on the bed and anesthesiologist put me out in a matter of seconds. He said tired people are easy to put out, well that was true cause not even 10 seconds after having that stuff shot in my arm and then experiencing an unpleasant taste in my mouth, I was counting sheep. My next memory was waking up in the recovery room listening to the beep of my vitals. I was pretty much incoherent and unaware of my surroundings but I felt a heated wonderfully soft blanket over me, and sensed the nurse in the room. I then realized I was shaking really dramatically, I dont know if it was because I was cold or shock from surgery but I was shaking really bad. I asked the nurse to give me something for the shaking, and now I think back I'm quite disappointed I had to ask for this, it was clear I was shaking badly so i Dont understand why it wasn't just given. especially since she was observing me. I also mumbled for my boyfriend and she told me he was in the waiting room and I'd soon see him. I dropped back into my warm fuzzy sleep. What must have been another hour or two went by and I was finally ready to go home. She woke me up, got me dressed, I asked for water (again something I shouldn't really have had to ask for) and my boyfriend was finally brought into the room. I was so happy to see him. I would have much rather he be there the whole time. I was wheeled downstairs to our car and she was about to lift me by my arms to help me get in the car. My boyfriend is in nursing school and said that's not how you're supposed to hold people, you're supposed to lift under their armpits so both me and him insisted he put me in the car cause her way was causing some discomfort. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what but there were some things she could have done on her part to make my experience easier. My boyfriend also told me he had been asking to see me and when I would be getting out, and they told him, I would call for him when I woke. Well I had been calling for him for a while. Ahh whatever, small things, overall a wonderful and relatively pain free experience so far, and with every good there always comes some bad, but I just wanted to share my experience, not only just to tel my story, but so the rest of you know the types of things to expect

I'm glad to hear you are feeling well and looking great. I had a bad experience with the nurse too. After I had my BA I woke up in extreme pain. She wouldn't give me pain meds. She said she had 2 more patients coming. I called doctor salama once I got settled. She tried to lie and tell me she gave me meds. However, I'm a nurse. I would not have been coherent if she gave me meds. SMH. Dr Salama is great, but I'm not sure about his OR staff. Happy healing doll. Again you look great.

Thank you so much! Well stupid me decided to bring it up with the doc at my one week post op appointment, only to have the nurse run in 5 minutes later (he'd obviously confronted her) telling me that she did give me something to stop shaking and she gave me juice before i asked for it, I was like not me.. i never got any juice.. i got water.. after I had to ask you for it.. I was disappointed he went and told her straight away, as I then had a slightly pissed off nurse fitting me in my compression garments.. LOL
I am glad you are ok ..when will the drains be removed?
unfortunately I still have them in, they havent gotten below the 25 mls a day required to take them out, but im almost there

Day 4

Today was a better day, didn't need the painkillers till the later part of today, when my stomach felt like it was burning and my stitches by my drains were tender. Got a little excersice via a car trip to boyfriends moms house then to our shop just to show everyone I'm still alive lol. Then back home where I fell asleep. My heart feels like it's always pounding. Not sure if it's normal but when I checked it earlier, my resting heart rate was 135. Can't wait to get these drains out, they are annoying me and I'm terrified about ripping one out in my sleep.
