Birthday Gift To Self/Full Lipo From Dr. Salama

Will Be 4 months Post-Op On 6/20/17

WORTH IT$6,400
The stiffness I used to feel every time I sat down or lied down for too long has stopped now. I am a size extra small in most clothing, small in some. I was wearing a size 9/10 before the lipo, a size 4/6 for the first month after lipo, now I can fit as low as a size 2. The highest I can fit in juniors is a 4. My curves are out there now. Thank God I never got a BBL. I've never wanted one because I've always felt if I had lipo, my booty would be popping and I was 100% correct. Because of the way that he performed liposuction, I look like I've had one done (thank God for my genes, I've always had a petite shape with curves). Honestly, I think he did the majority of the lipo on my love handles and back. I know I still have months before I am fully healed, but honestly, I don't think he removed a lot of fat at all. However, I am definitely happy with the result this far.

My brother is coming to visit me for a few weeks and he is a gym rat. He is going to show me how to lift weights properly, because if I can, I want my military body back from when I was in. My body was popping, it's popping now but it was definitely popping when I was in the military.

I weigh between 135-142 depending on where I am in the month. If I "can" I want to lose maybe 5 pounds, but I may gain, because I'm trying to build muscle. I want my big calves, my biceps and triceps back and if possible, my 6 pack back. I don't really eat horrible, because I'm a picky eater anyways. I love the way I look in a two piece and a monokini now, so I'm just imagining how I'll look once I get back heavy into working out.

Another woman passed away here in Miami due to going to Seduction in Doral. I have nothing against cosmetic surgery but I always tell both men and women, if you're going to have it done, especially in Miami-Dade County, Broward and West Palm Beach, you better do your due diligence with researching. I feel the state of Florida should do more and be more strict, because a lot of these people aren't licensed and are permanently disabling people. Wheb I first moved here years ago, a 19 y/o with a 4 y/o son went in for lipo and a breast lift. She came out of surgery brain damaged and paralyzed, so her mother is basically raising a maimed adult and her grandchild. They sued but what use is the money if you can't have a full functioning life, and of course your family, friends and the people social media are going to laugh and judge you for being vain. The doctor settled, however the place is in Coconut Grove on US-1 before you get on 95S, that man is still performing lipo, BBL, everything for cheap deals and I see females on this board bragging about going there. I don't say anything. What's more sad, most of these women pay a deposit and pay the surgery off befote meeting the doctor, getting a CV, searching on the American Board of Plastic Surgery, so hey if they don't care, it's not my job to say anything. Just be careful when choosing someone to reconstruct a part of your body you're not fine with, because you can wake up permanently damaged or not wake up at all depending on whom you choose.

What I would say is I do wish Dr. Salama and his staff checked up on their patients, because the doctor I had my tummy tuck with checked up with me for a long time. I had it done where I'm originally from. There, women don't have cosmetic surgery as much as the women do here in Miami, and he's been a cosmetic surgeon since the 1970's (surprising huh).

Almost four months in, I don't see any irregularities, my scars where the cannula entered my body are tiny and disappearing, where the drains were has healed well. I've never experienced any skin discolarations outside of the first week. I've never experience any skin hardening after maybe the second or third week, no lumps, humps, bumps, nothing. I did experience a lot of itchiness (I still get it sometimes but not as much) and I did experience a lot of stiffness. I believe that is a normal part of healing from lipo. I didn't suffer from skin necrosis, I didn't suffer from ANY burns. Only thing was the respiratory distress and luckily, my health insurance covered a LOT of that bill.

All in all, I guess I chose the right cosmetic surgeon, because my body doesn't look fake and my body looks DAMN good after Dr. Salama worked his magic on me. I may post another picture in a few weeks. I do recommend him 100%. He may charge $6400 for lipo, but to me it was definitely WORTH it.

All in all, I hope I help someone in choosing a Miami based cosmetic surgeon for lipo, because not everyone wants a BBL. I know I've never wanted one, because I feel I'm too petite for one. Also, the way Dr. Salama and his anethesiologist cared for me in that hospital and even after shows they're really compassionate about what they do and not just in it for the money. I first contacted EPS in May 2013, then I visited the office in December 2014. From May 2013-February 2017 (almost four years), I asked Dr. Salama and the staff a lot of question and thoroughly researched them. If you guys have any questions you all are welcomed to ask me.

I wasn't paid to make this review or received anything for free, I still haven't told Dr. Salama or his staff that I've reviewed them to a tee on this website. I paid for every massage, compression garment, the recovery house and this procedure from my money. I didn't receive any discounts or anything. With everything combined, I paid close to, if not, $8,000, but it was all well worth it. Some women have told me I have helped them out a lot with choosing Dr. Salama and learning about the true recovery phase and I appreciate that.

Dr. Salama is nice, but very quiet, very laid back. He isn't arrogant at all like a lot of PS's in Miami. He allows you to ask as many questions as you'll like. The office is his staff are very nice, the office is very clean, they promptly answer your calls and emails (except twice) and it's in a very nice area (Aventura off Biscayne Blvd surgery center in Hallandale Beach off Hallandale Blvd). I looked up his credentials (he gives you a copy of his CV during consultation). I've saw tons of his work and I would rather go to him than anyone else in Miami. He is certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which is very important to me and has been since 2010. He is very professional and does nice work.

How about numbing sensation do you still get it on the parts that were lipo'd ?
This was the BEST review I've ever read. I too would like to get lipo- no fat transfer. Really happy with my butt an I workout a lot too- just problem areas that won't go away. I thought recovery would be easier than you described but WOW- you've got me thinking. My top choice right now is Dr Blinski though Salma is also a consideration. If you can think of anything else please let me know
Of course I am going to say Drm Salama. I have heard of Blinski but I've never met him. I just say do your homework, because too many women are passing away going to the wrong person. Ask several questions and request to see their actual work.
I enjoyed this very informative review and you look phenomenal. Everything u said is correct tho
Thank you so much. I did it as detailed as I can due to not finding anyone whose just had lipo only. The ones that had lipo only leave a lot of things out.
Thanks for your review, very detailed. What happened to you to have respiratory distress? Was it the anesthesia?
I am not sure but I am thinking it was the general anesthesia.
Have you asked what medicines they used for their anesthesia? Which anesthesiologist did you have?
This is a great review and I am sure it will help someone. I agree, Dr Salama and is staff are so attentive to their patients during consultations and procedures. I wrote them an email requesting the follow up with their patients after surgery as well. It really makes me feel cared for!
Thank you.

Lipo Update

I am still having a lot of itching, the majority of the swelling is gone and I feel horrible when I wake up in the morning on the spots I've had lipo. When I move around, I feel fine. I think I am a little over 10 weeks out now. Just last month, a size 29 Levi's were skin tight on me. Today, I am swimming in those and can fit a size 26 comfortably and 25 skin tight. I ordered some clothing off of Fashion Nova. I had to return them, because I was a medium before lipo in dresses, pants and such, now a small is too big depending on whom makes them. I've been using Bring It Up on the boobs, because I do want a mastopexy BUT, I don't want implants and honestly, I don't want to go through any surgery again. My breast aren't sagging really bad, I just hate the size, I feel like I'm too skinny of a person for some 36DD. Then again, people pay to have what I've been blessed to have since I was 9, so I'll just use push up bras like I've been doing, work out and Bring It Up when I want to go bra less, because they work fine. Then, I've heard every 5-10 years you have to have a revision on the implants, I don't have time for that. Maybe when I'm 45, I'll consider having the boobs done, but for now, I'm good.

I do love the lipo results, especially the muffin top being gone. Every 2 weeks, it seems like my waist is melting away. I can't wait to see my final results in a few months. I need an extra small garment but I refuse to wear it. Sometimes, I forget to wear it and my waist is STILL shrinking so I am happy.

That is awesome girl!!! I'm experiencing some swelling as well but not to bad. I'm glad I read your post. I have recently been depress because I can't seem to lose any weight despite my healthy eating. I've come to realize that it must be from the swellingness.
It takes forever for the swelling to come down, I think maybe 80% of mines is gone down. My shape is very similar to the first few days out of surgery before all of the swelling set in. However, I am still itching crazy and I become very stiff after lying down for too long that it hurts. I love my results, I stopped wearing my garment and waist trainer completely now and my waist is still shrinking. I will just be glad when the internal pains and itching go away.

I don't know if you live in Miami but thank God that you went to Dr. Salama. Everyday, if it's not someone dying, it's someone getting disfigured or internal injuries from cosmetic surgeries due to everyone literally performing it ripping people off. I did want a breast lift/refuction but you know what, my body was never really horrible after having children. I'm going to work out and keep enjoying what I have. I am glad that you've made it out fine too. I write a lot, but I just want to thoroughly warn people coming to Miami and Broward to have these proceedures not to trust everyone. Also, if a proceedure is too cheap, just know there's a reason behind it. Thank God I have decent health insurance because that 6 minute ambulance ride was $846. That hospital bill was a lot too. Also, the healing process isn't as easy as females on YouTube and the people performing these proceedures make it especially lipo. A tummy tuck heals much quicker and isn't nearly as painful as lipo and I can just imagine your pain with lipo and BBL. However, the ending results are nice when done correctly.
Are you still wearing a garment or waist trainer? I can't bring myself to use one but I need to! Ugh.
No ma'am.

At 2 weeks post-op, at work I wore my Marena garment and I only wore the garment the office gave me after work and to sleep. At 6 weeks post-op, I started wearing my waist trainer they gave me after work and to sleep only. I wore nothing at work. At around 9.5 weeks, I got irritated with the waist trainer and stopped wearing it. I feel like all it does is help manage the pain from swelling. I am still losing inches and I have a complete hourglass shape now.

I work and I work a professional job at that. Ain't no way with the clothing I wear I can wear that damn compression garment with foam 24/7 for 6 weeks at minimum straight. Either I'm lucky or it boils down to your surgeon's skill, because my healing or shape didn't suffer for not wearing it as I was instructed to do so.
Preach! I think I have a great shape reguardless of using a waist trainer or garment. There was no way I could survive so long with the compression foams and garment. Glad to hear you love your shape!
I just realized we both went to Salama!

Picture........Tmr Will Make 6 Weeks Post-Op

I am still swollen and the itching is STILL insane. I know it seems I am happy one moment, angry in another but I am glad that I had the lipo done. Do I think I could make it through anything else? Yes and no, but I don't want anything else. Lipo is more painful and take longer to heal from than a full tt. If I take off my compression garment then I still feel like a bruise kind of pain, you know like when you get injured and your body is trying to heal. I mean that is literally what is going on. I expect to be like this for months.

I hope you guys enjoy this recent picture. I'm not holding anything in. What scares me is if I have my garment off for too long, I see love handles, I guess from the swellinf, but once I put on my garment with the foam I am fine. Well her you go.

You look great
Thank you.
Wel you look great. I see no swelling in this pic, youlook flat.
Thank you. My flanks are very swollen still, they're still itchy and hot to the touch like a bruise.
Nice!!
Thanks both of you.
I don't see any love handles it looks good
Almost 9 weeks out and I still swell. I still itch a whole lot. The pain finally stopped at the beginning of this week. Only time I have pain is when I wake up and try to move.
