Spitting Stitch at 5 months!? + more bikinis :)

So I woke up to this big pimple like spot near my anchor incision yesterday! It looks and feels just like the other spitting stitches I have had but it seems like 5 months is awfully late to be having this! It is slightly frustrating as these spots seem to stay red for a long time and can scar, but oh well!

On another note, I tried on more swim suits today just for fun...i'm still fitting into small or medium depending on the place/style. This one in the photo is size small from Vie En Rose although when I look at my boobs they definitely don't seem small to me...more medium i guess. Anyway I hope you are all doing well! I will try to post a scar update at the 6 month mark :)

Saw my surgeon today

Hi everyone,
I had my appointment today at my clinic. I thought I was seeing the nurse but actually saw my surgeon...quite the surprise. My redness and pain (described in my previous post) is actually almost gone now! My surgeon said it must have been from a stitch and that the last of my stitches should be disolving around this time. Who knew that the stitches could cause problems away from the scar lines (except for Wendy53 who called it!...thanks Wendy). My surgeon was also very pleased with how my scars are healing and seemed to think they looked really really great for 3.5 months! I was really happy to hear this as I was feeling guilty for not using my cica care strips consistently. He told me they look so good that I should not purchase another pack of those once these ones finish (there would be no point). I have been using my homemade scar serum twice a day when im not wearing the cica strips so maybe that has helped a lot too! Either way I am happy with his reaction!
Thats all for now ladies...happy healing :):)

New bras + NYE + Cellulitis!?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to post a little update today as I have several things to report!....
1) i am visiting my partners family in Maine right now and saw that Victorias Secret had their semi anual sale on (bras for 10-20 bucks!). I was having a bad self image day and thinking maybe my boobs were still too big or getting bigger so I had a feeling that bra shopping (especially at VS) would only make it worse. But i really wanted to check out the sale since I can wear different styles now, and underwires, at 3 months+ post op. So i went in and the prices were incredible...way better than in Canada....so i tried on maybe 12 bras ranging in sizes (still wasnt sure what size i was at VS). I tried some in 32D, 32DD, 34C, and 34D. I tried to remember that the letters don't matter too much but it was still somewhat upsetting looking through D and DD bras!!! Anyway, in the end I wanted to cry tears of joy because 34C is what fit the best! I liked about 5 of the 34C bras I tried on (unheard of...normally I leave the VS change room frustrated and empty handed). I went home with 3 new bras and only paid $44 after tax for all three! What a deal!
2) I went out to a party for new years eve with lots of people who I had never met before. Normally I would toil over what bra to wear and how to cover up my chest....i wore scarves a lot. But I decided to put on a black open plunge neck top that showed off my cleavage and I actually didn't even wear a bra underneath. Where did this confidence come from!? I felt so natural and comfrotable and even sexy ;) .....shout out to finally520 who also rocked a sexy plunge neck (for new years eve i think?).
3) i have a sore and red spot on my right boob (im pointing to it in the photo). It is a bit hard to see but it is noticeably red (pinkish really) and it is sore to the touch. If i press on it it feels tender and almost stings if i press hard enough. It has been there for maybe 6 days now. At first I thought it was nothing but now I am worried that it could be cellulitis which is pretty serious. Since I am in the states I can't see a doctor but I booked an appointment at my surgical clinic for Monday. I was told that as long as I don't have a temperature and there is no smell or discharge, i should be fine until Monday. I just took some echinacea and vitamin C and drank a tea with 5 cloves of garlic crushed into it in an attempt to take the inflammation down a notch and get my body in shape for healing itself. Wish me luck that this turns out to be nothing!! I would hate to have a complication at this stage :( And if any of you know what this might be, let me know! I know it doesnt look too bad in the photos but it is quite tender.
Thats about it for now...happy healing everyone :D
