I had successful implants 3 years ago but at the beginning of this year lost 2 stone in weight. My body was much improved except...my breasts. The tissue over the of top the implants had sagged and my nipple was facing the floor. I knew an uplift was an option but lived with them for about 6 months in case my weight moved again. As I was able to maintain my weight, I went back to my surgeon to ask his opinion. He agreed that it was an uplift that was needed, so I went ahead with the surgery. I am now 2 days post op and can already see that the results are what I wanted i.e. my nipples are where they are meant to be and I have no saggy skin!

Day 5 post op
sdoddDecember 11, 2017
Pain is settling now, though still haven't got back to my normal sleeping pattern- I seem to wake for 2-4 hours every night. My boobs itch quite a lot and I am getting very impatient to have them healed! I am also sick of wearing my bra at night but hey ho, it will all be worth it! I have to go to see the nurse on Wednesday to have my wounds checked.

Looking great! Have you asked your PS what to do about the itching? PMy PS gave me clearance to take over-the-counter antihistamines (Zyrtec) and use Aquaphor on my breast skin to protect it from all the swelling and bruising. Post op swelling/bruising can cause dryness resulting in itchiness and rash. I used the Aquaphor prophylactically for my first couple months post op... and I did not have the itchiness and stinging that a lot of others members have complained about. Wishing you a smooth healing… :-)

7 day cosmetic nurse review
sdoddDecember 14, 2017
Went to hospital today to have 7 day cosmetic nurse review. She was pleased with my results and wounds. For the next 5 weeks until I see my surgeon I have to wear micropore tape over my scars. Apparently this stops the scars from stretching and they have achieved fantastic results with this method. The tape is kept in place for 7 days at a time and only replaced every 7 days and no more frequently. After showering, I have to use a hairdryer to dry the tape. At the 6 week appointment with my PS, he will advise me on massage of my scars. My pain and itching is getting less and less and I continue to be really pleased with my results!
