My Results After 12 Months
WORTH IT
A receding hairline at 34 was not on my 2025 bingo card. To make matters worse, I had overall thinning across my head, and I was sure that if I continued down this route, I would end up with no hair. I had already tried some hair growth supplements I had found online, but since they had not worked, I knew that the only option for me was to get a hair transplant. But as an IT consultant who works closely with clients and often has in-person presentations, shaving my whole head was not an option. Additionally, I wanted a process that required zero downtime, as I have a very busy work schedule. With these factors in mind, I went in for my assessment at Heva Clinic and explained my concerns and needs. My surgeon explained that since I had a Norwood Scale II, which was moving to a III vertex receding hairline, we could use the DHI technique to cover the bald patches on my crown and deal with the temporal recession. He made it clear that we could achieve a maximal graft count without shaving off my hair, and that was all I needed to hear from him and his team. He used 3,100 grafts to cover my head. Most of these went to my front and hairline, and the others were for my crown and vertex. Basically, he explained that the grafts used on the front and hairline were mostly single and double follicular units, so I could have a natural and soft look, while those used in the crown and vertex were mostly triple and quadruple follicular units to achieve more density. The graft extraction was a bit uncomfortable, but they gave me enough anesthesia to ensure that I did not feel any pain. And when they were done, I was surprised at how well they had masked the areas where they had gotten the donor grafts. So, as soon as I was done with my post-op checks, I was cleared to fly back home and was able to go back to work as if I had never left. My results after 12 months are nothing short of amazing. Not only do I have more density in my hair, but the new growth matches my actual hair, both in texture and angle. It was quite a breath of fresh air to work with a team that actually listened to what I wanted.
