Not a Fan...
I almost made a mistake and picked Dr Pak for my hair restoration surgery. The consultation was not thorough but rather I felt Dr Pak and his staff were more concerned about rushing me into securing a surgery date (red flag #1).
As my surgery date grew closer I started to do closer research into Dr Pak and found it difficult to communicate with him through Andrea but when I did speak to him he failed to answer my questions and even made me feel odd for reaching out with basic questions.
I was not convinced he has had enough experience working on people with my hair texture and I did not understand his method of injecting his patients with a sedative during the surgery. Many other surgeons use Xanax… But nonetheless I noticed in his reviews that many of his clients come back for repeated surgeries and have complaints that the density of the hair is not full enough and that he is not the one completing the surgery the entire time, his assistants take over...
On top of that these people are so money hungry- they took my $1000 deposit from me and REFUSED to give me back my $1000. I declined to do the operation 4 days before the surgery day but of course somehow they said since it had been three days I was not eligible for a refund.
I am not after the money but I was quite shocked that a medical corporation could be so harsh to. I was not comfortable after the exchange I had with Andrea asking for my money back.
It's really sad to see doctors and medical corporations be so controlled by money… and the only reason I'm giving him one star is because I followed my intuition and found an even better surgeon, Dr Sean Behman. I explained to Dr Sean everything I had gone through with this last place and he was so understanding and kind and compassionate and truly concerned about my well-being.
I completed my surgery within a week after having a consultation with Dr Sean Behman and his team and I am thrilled. It has been six months postop and I am seeing so much growth and I love it.
Despite losing out on my deposit, I am grateful I did not follow through with Dr. Pak and his team.
