WORTH IT
Being a designer has its perks. But it also makes me more attuned to inconsistencies that other people may not think are a big deal. So, when my hair started receding such that my forehead was literally popping out and taking over my whole face, I knew I had to do something about it. As someone who likes keeping short hair, growing it out to hide the temples was not an option, but the DHI hair transplant was. I had read enough to know that this was a very precise procedure with a very high success rate, especially when done by experts. I worked with the hairline designer at HEVA closely, and we came up with a hairline that was perfectly attuned to my face. He even drew it out on me to show me what the surgeon would do and how the results would look. I had to admit that he knew my face even better than I thought I did. I loved it. The only concern left was whether the surgeon would achieve it. He also surprised me with his precision. I knew he was good but did not know that he was THAT good! When I was finally okay enough to look at myself in the mirror, I gasped! I think that was the closest I came to crying last year – not because I hated what they had done but because they had nailed the perfect facial symmetry. I did not end up having a pluggy look and my hairline brought out the best of my facial features. What they did was art and the details are still evident even now that my hair has grown in. As a sneaker lover, I would refer to Heva as the Nike of hair clinics.
