The Best of the Best

WORTH IT
For starters, I’m not one to post anything about anything or anyone or social media. Keeping my blessed life private limits the critics and naysayers. My late father, who came from everything to nothing when he stepped foot in this country, instilled a strong sense of discipline, hard work, gratitude, and appreciation. What does this have to do with hair? I consider myself a pretty good judge of character, which has served me well, both personally and professionally, and I can honestly say, unapologetically, that Dr. Anderson and his staff exhibited all of these character traits from the general inquiry stage to the the post-op protocols and follow up. How many physicians (even those with whom you may have had long-standing precessional relationship), call you over the weekend to check in on you for an elective cosmetic surgical procedure no less? Dr. Anderson is that guy! While it’s only been a week since my hair transplant procedure and it’s way too early to know whether it will be deemed a success in my eyes, I do know that Dr. Anderson and his staff exceeded my highest expectations during my specially planned trip to his office in Alpharetta last week. Over the course of the last two years, I conducted extensive research, meeting with or engaging in lengthy conversions with the top hair transplant surgeons in this country and my research ultimately led me to Dr. Anderson, a triple-board certified physician who has the distinction of

Unlike other surgeons, I never felt like Dr. Anderson or his staff members were embarked on a mission to sell me on their practice or products. All communication was consultative in nature, characterized with a quiet confidence and professional competence. Sadly, the same can not be said of certain of his “competitors”, who have admittedly succeeded in appearing alongside Dr. Anderson on the list of top ranked hair transplant surgeons. Dr. Anderson’s attention to detail and drive for excellence is evident in his many professional accolades, formal education, extensive experience, and, importantly, peer reviews. He’s the best of the best and, uncharacteristically, I am actually looking forward to updating this post in 9-12 months, citing my level of satisfaction with the outcome of the procedure.

Lastly, it is important to note that the procedure, per
se, was surprising painless (although the scar line is naturally sensitive and mildly painful to the touch). One week after the surgery, the hair follicle implants have pretty much scabbed over, do not appear “pluggy” and left an indiscernible scar that my fiancé had trouble locating while applying the daily antibiotic ointment. I have darker, graying hair and that may have contributed to the seemingly good outcome at this point, but Dr. Anderson frequently recognized for his unique skill with the scalpel. In summary, my trepidation going into the hair transplant procedure was “wasted worry” as Matt Longshore, the Patient Coordinator, reassured me. The surgery is safe and the process relatively easy in the hands of a professional that takes his god-given craft seriously with unparalleled attention to care and details. This doc loves his body of work and it shows in everything he does.
