I’ve wrestled with hair loss since my late teens

I’ve wrestled with hair loss since my late teens. It was absolutely devastating to my confidence as a young man to find that I was in line for baldness. There have been options available to me like cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, but even back then I knew that someday I was going to want my real hair back. Fast forward 20 years, and while I was definitely ready for a permanent solution, I wasn’t necessarily ready to undergo the process itself. Of all the questions I had, the one that loomed the largest was “am I still going to look like me?”

With that in mind, I talked to several surgeons. Surprisingly, most places seemed to offer hair transplants as kind of an afterthought. As an “oh, and we also offer” service. It didn’t really make sense, considering their prices. Once I found the Anderson Center, I was relieved to know that hair was their sole focus. What really sold me on the procedure was seeing one of their clients in real life, whose hair loss progression was similar to mine. I made up my mind on the spot.

A month after my procedure, and I’m already amazed. I can see that Ken Anderson saw details about me that I didn’t even remember were there. My hairline, the grain of my hair…it’s all there. My procedure was an FUT graft, so I was naturally more worried about scarring. But even when I still had stitches in place, people had to examine me very closely to even see them. Needless to say, my healing is going fantastically well. I had lots of questions, particularly in the first week. But Ken and his staff were patient, knowledgeable, and prompt to respond. I never felt lost in the shuffle, and I never felt unimportant. I was treated like who I was: someone with high expectations, going through an unfamiliar and sometimes difficult process for the first time.

As for as my initial concerns, it’s become evident that any surgeon can solve a problem. But you have to remember that, medically speaking, there’s nothing wrong with hair loss. And yet, you’re here because there’s something about yourself that you care deeply enough about to change. So, you don’t want a surgeon who looks at you and sees a problem. You want a surgeon…

Who looks at you the way you do.Who can see your hair as you remember it, even if you don’t remember it.
Who can see details of you that you’re going to be seeing long after his work is done.
Who has former clients who are totally comfortable with you seeing them.
Who prices himself reasonably.
Who doesn’t do hair transplants in addition to a dozen other cosmetic procedures.
Who does hair, and only hair, and does it well.
Who gives you an honest assessment of what he can and cannot do.
Who doesn’t promise you what he cannot deliver.
Who delivers on what he has promised.
Who can work with you if you’re indecisive, if you’re just still not sure what’s right for you.
Who enjoys his work.
Who has staff who obviously like working with him.
Who has staff who obviously like working with YOU.
Who will answer your questions through the most difficult part of the process: the first week.
Who doesn’t think that just because the scar is on the back of your head that it doesn’t matter.
Who sutures you so well that even your family can’t see the sutures while they’re still in.

And…

Who can give you what you truly want: You. Just as you are today. If you had kept your hair.

You don’t want a surgeon. You want an artist. You want Ken Anderson.
