Nine Months Afterwards, my Hairline Looks Perfect
WORTH IT
Because I wore very tight braids as a teen, I had a lot of traction alopecia. And it did not help that hair recession is a thing in my family. If that was not bad enough, I have 4 c hair so getting a hair transplant was not the easiest thing to do. HEVA came through for me in a big way. Their technicians and lead surgeon did not promise me the sun and the moon and they instead were honest about the outcomes with me and I happily accepted them. On the day of the surgery, my surgeon took it really slow because he was manually extracting the grafts. He used about 2,000 to get medium coverage which was exactly what I wanted as I do not exactly have the thickest hair. Much of the work was in the aftercare where I was required to spray my scalp with a saline spray to prevent my skin from cracking. This is a common issue with my skin type and since I was not allowed to use hydrating oils, I stuck to the spray. I also had some dark spots in the sections with the grafts and was advised to use a specific oil to help with that once the sections had healed. By month 4, they were all gone and I also did not run the risk of scarring, which is yet another issue I faced. Nine months afterwards, my hairline looks perfect and has been winning me dates all over the city.
