Transplant Day Concerns

Hi Al! I REALLY need to post updated photos. I'll do my best to do that soon. What I'm posting in this uodate are concerns that I had on the day of my transplant. I hope that this is informative to others.
1. FOX Test and FUE vs. FUT
When I initially contacted NAC, I expressed interest in an FUE transplant and was told that "FUT will be the only method for you." I expressed that I was not interested in an FUT transplant and asked for confirmation that an FUE would not be done by NAC. I was informed of the reasons why FUT was preferred over FUE (hair texture and shaving of the donor site), and told "Another thing is that woman mostly do not except to shave their donor side. Do you ? If yes it is ok to go on with FUE, if the fox test allows it.".
I expressed that I'd shaved my head before and shaving it again was not a problem. The response received was "great than...:)". At this point I was under the impression that a FOX test would be done to test how easy/difficult it would be to remove follicles. The night before the procedure, I was asked by Mel if I would be willing to have an FUT transplant if an FUE was not possible. I said yes. Again, I was under the impression that a FOX test would be done. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when upon meeting Dr. Apaydin, I was told that an FUT was the only option. When I mentioned the FOX test he said that an FUT provided better results and that typically women didn't like to shave their heads. Again, I'd said in my email shaving my head was not a problem, and I mentioned the same to Dr. Apaydin. This series of events made me feel as though I was lied to. If I'd said "no" when asked if I'd proceed with an FUT, would the FOX test have been done? Looking back, I should have demanded that the FOX test be done as previously stated or canceled my appointment.
I mentioned my concerns to the office manager (Taner), he apologized, and I was given the following explanations:
1. Dr. Apaydin could tell that FUT was the best option after looking at my hair, He physically looked at my hair AFTER declining to do the test. Pics of my hair were sent via email, so it was no surprise as to the kind of hair that I have.
2. There was no time to do the FOX test because of my tardiness. (If my tardiness was going to compromise the treatment received, I should have been informed and alternate arrangements made if necessary.
2. Pre-Op Consultation
I was surprised that the "before" photos that I'd emailed were not reviewed during the consultation. I feel as though these photos gave a more accurate representation of my thin areas as opposed to those photos taken by the NAC staff. I expressed a desire to lower my hairline, and increase the density in my temple areas as well as the areas that run alongside my hairline. Dr. Apaydin then looked at my hair and noted that the majority of the hair loss was on the left side. I had to point out that the right side had more hair loss in the temple region. The consultation felt rushed.
3. Requests to shave my head
In my previous email, as well as during the consultation, I stated that I'd shaved my head before. I then told Dr. Apaydin that I wanted to shave my head again. He said no. I REPEATEDLY requested that my head be shaved and was was REPEATEDLY told no. At one point I was told " You can have your fancy barber do it when you get home, but I'm not going to." I'm sure that this was said in a joking manner, but I felt that it was a little rude. At no point was I given an explanation as to why my head would not be shaved. It was only after I persisted and said that I would shave my head when I got home and had questions about how to make sure that the transplanted hair was not disturbed, that Dr. Apaydin relented and agreed to do what I asked. Why was I met with resistance when it came to how I wanted to wear my hair?
4. Staples vs. Sutures
I asked why Dr. Apaydin was using staples as opposed to sutures and was given an answer that wasn't very detailed or sufficient. I asked Taner the same question during the post-op consultation and was given a bit more detail and I found additional information online.
5. Post-Op Consultation
I was surprised that my post-op consultation was with Taner and not Dr. Apaydin. While Taner was very kind and explained all of the post op instructions and medications, I assumed that I would meet with Dr. Apaydin. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time as I always expect to meet with my doctor/surgeon after a procedure that's performed by them.
6. Hair Wash Day
After coming to the clinic for my 1st hair wash and additional pictures, I expected to meet with Dr. Apaydin and talk with him regarding concerns I had about the transplanted hair. Again, I was surprised to learn that he was not there. After my head was shaved and markings made the previous day, I had a concern that an area of thinning hair was not marked. Dr. Apaydin said that because that area had hair, he could not transplant hair there because it would damage the existing hair. IF YOU LOOK AT CLIENT PICS ON THEIR WEBSITE/FB PAGE, YOU'LL SEE NUMEROUS PICTURES OF MEN WITH THINNING AREAS, NOT COMPLETELY BALD, THAT HAD HAIR TRANSPLANTED IN THOSE AREAS TO PROVIDE FULL COVERAGE. After the bandages were removed and I was able to see the final results, I was concerned that not enough hair was transplanted in comparison to the pictures I'd emailed before the procedure, not the ones that were taken the day of. I wanted to ask how cases where people who have areas of thin hair (not completely bald) are handled in order to obtain consistent density. I was concerned that from my hairline going back, I would have good density, low density (existing thin area), and then good density again.
7. Test Results
I asked for a copy of my blood test results that I did not receive.
Again, I hope that this update is informative. If at any point you feel uncomfortable about the procedure, don't go through with it. If you feel as though the process is rushed, don't go through with it. If you're not comfortable with the interaction between yourself and the doctor, don't go through with it.

7 Days Post-Op

7 Days Post-Op
I had an FUT hair transplant on 02/28/17. Here are some photos 1 week after the procedure. The scabs have started to slowly fall off. I have a little bit of sensitivity beneath the staples on the left side, but I'm not in pain. My scalp is also itching a lot.

Here are some before and after pictures.…

Here are some before and after pictures. You can clearly see that my problem areas were not fully addressed during the transplant. I feel as though in the end, my hair will look much worse than it did before.
