Hairline Rebuilt but Considering Fine Tuning
I would like honest opinions only!! Don’t be afraid to provide brutally honest constructive criticism of my results.
My story…
AGE: 40’s
NORWOOD: 3A in early 20’s
BEFORE PROCEDURE GOALS: My goals were to have a more natural hairline contour, fill in the gap, soften hairline with single hair grafts and also rebuild my temporal points.
POST PROCEDURE SUPPLEMENTAL TREATMENT: Had SMP all over my entire head and continue to take finasteride religiously
POST PROCEDURE CONSIDERATIONS: Considering small touch up FUE procedure of 300-400 single hair grafts to add more density to frontal hairline, fix my contour and further camouflage pluggy grafts behind frontal hairline
After 3 FUT procedures to restore my frontal hairline that started in my mid 20’s. I was never happy with my results as my hairline was too sharp of a V shape, it was stalky with too many 2, 3 and even some 4 hair grafts and I had a noticeable part/gap directly in the middle that was left even after the multiple procedures. I knew I needed to repair it so that’s what I did in early 2020.
My corrective procedure consisted of about 1800 FUE grafts with a majority of them being 2’s, a few hundred singles and a couple hundred 3’s.
Overall, I am pretty happy with my results and, as you can see in my pics, I vastly improved my appearance. However, I think it can still be improved for maximum naturalness:
- People still stare at my hairline. You know when it is happening, it makes you super uncomfortable and there is no bigger indication your results aren’t as natural as you may have wanted and/or think.
- My hairline is too thin and could use a bit more density. Because it is so thin you can see the more stalky/pluggy grafts through and behind the frontal hairline. What do you think?
- Even though I was assured only singles in the frontal hairline, there are a number of 2’s. So, to me, it still appears stalky.
- Not enough grafts were placed in the right side of my hairline and it has left my contour on that side a bit off. This also causes my hair to style differently on that side which is annoying.
- I have a lot of pitting and cobblestoning in my scalp which draws attention to my hairline. Especially, in certain kinds of lighting.
Again, please provide your honest opinions ;)
