My Hair Already Looked Fuller
WORTH IT
My issue with thinning hair got worse once I landed a job as a hostess in a really cool restaurant. I loved the vibe, but there was just one issue. Since I am quite short, I soon noticed that when people were talking to me as I waited to seat them, they would just be looking at the top of my head. It was making me feel more self-conscious as I knew that my hair was thin enough for people to see my scalp and people were probably just shocked at the hair loss and were likely feeling bad for me. It was tiring. I was going through many forums, reddit and social media and I saw Heva's name for female hair transplants.
I was so excited that I asked my boss for a week off. He was not too happy about it, but he came around, and off I went to Istanbul. I met the whole HEVA team, including my lovely coordinator, Amy. The surgery was very simple and it did not hurt a bit. In just 6 hours, my surgeon had done the extraction and implantation. We used 3,000 grafts from the back of my head. But then again, that doesn’t matter much because everyone needs a different number of grafts based on their concerns. By the next day, my hair already looked fuller because the implants were adding to the density. He had implanted the hairs between my existing hairs. It’s been 11 weeks to be exact, and my hair growth has increased by a lot, such that I am not worried about people towering over me. I talked to my surgeon the other day and he told me that it was still early stages and that my hair growth will be even denser around the 50th week, so I can’t wait.
