Great Doctor and Outcome
I saw Dr. Hernandez for my second FUE transplant on 2/4/2022. I had my first one with her in February of 2018, 4 years earlier. As many reviews have stated, this is a great and worthwhile doctor.
From the time you call to make an appointment, you are treated with great courtesy. I gave my flight information and a driver picked me up in San Diego and transported me directly to my hotel. The morning of the procedure, Dr. Hernandez herself picked me up and brought me to her clinic, just five minutes away.
You begin by getting an in-depth consultation on not only what you desire, but what the Dr. thinks is realistic and to be expected. She draws some lines to mark where the grafts will go, trims your hair if necessary, and then you are ready.
You are introduced to her lovely staff, who make you feel at ease and prepare you for the procedure. Her husband, Dr. Miguel, does the extraction and it wasn't painful at all. I slept for most of the procedure. He managed to extract roughly 2,000 hairs, which is great because he got 2,500 on my first procedure, so I was very happy with his ability to carefully select eligible hairs without over-harvesting.
Dr. Gabriela then does the actual implantation of the grafts, which only took about 90 mins. All told I was in by 9am and out by 5p and caught a flight home later that night. I highly recommend her due to her 15 year experience, expert ability to create a natural hairline, clean facility, and friendly staff. Do yourself a favor and go see her asap!
