Very Good Experience Overall, but a Learning to Share

The whole team was nice with me, through out the process, answering my questions and reassuring me. The surgery went well, although painful despite multiple anesthesia shots, everything after was pretty smooth and uneventful, not much pain. It’s just been 2.5 weeks, so too early to judge the results, but I learned to “trust the process”. I met other patients at hotel, and it seems everyone were satisfied of their operation. Can’t wait to see my new hair in 1 year :-) It will make a big difference for me.

Regrets: I asked Dr Cinik to take full advantage of my beard (full area under chin), which he drew the full area, but I did not enforce it with the operation team. So they took beard hair only from a band (standard process i think), now it’s apparent that a band was taken. I have so much beard, I wish they did exactly what I asked (full area so my beard would remain uniform). And that would also mean more graft on my scalp. Also, 1 side is imperfect, as it did not blend well with hair (obvious spot no hair, not symmetrical to other side). A second session would resolve all that. I assume the medical team did what they could within 8 hours operation (limit ?). The being said, I think it won’t be so apparent in a year, time will tell...
Learning: Be ultra clear and repeat to make sure. I wish there was a moment they could pause at 80% job done, show you and adjust if needed before running out of grafts.

I’ll wait to see results, but I’m thinking to go back for second/final session in 1-2 years, at Dr Cinik again.
