Great results - follicular unit transplantation on front hairline

I was referred to Dr. Anderson and the Anderson Center for Hair by my dermatologist, as he has was one of the top hair restoration surgeons in our area and people from all over the country come to meet with him as well. Dr. Anderson is very knowledgeable and experienced, and his staff and facilities were top notch.
I had a follicular unit transplantation procedure on my front hairline, and it was a positive experience overall. The procedure itself was 5-6 hours long, but they give you a local sedative so I was asleep for most of it and didn’t feel much pain. The recovery period is 2 weeks long, with a strict regimen of medicine, laser cap, etc. to make sure you have the best possible outcome. The recovery period isn’t painful – I didn’t take any of the prescribed pain pills that were provided. The toughest part of the recovery period is just having to sleep upright to avoid hitting the scars on the back of your head and the transplanted grafts. However, once this 2-week period is over, you have no limitations and the hair will grow in over the next year. The transplanted hair looks very natural and helped my receding hairline dramatically. There was a big difference looking at my pre and post procedure pictures. The only thing that shows you had a procedure is the small scar on the back of your head, but it is covered by your hair (even if you cut your hair pretty short). My experience was very positive, and I actually just had a second procedure to really increase the density on my front hairline, as only so many grafts can be transplanted at one time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Anderson and the Anderson Center for Hair.
