Female Hairline Lowering/ Forehead Reduction with FUT Strip Method

As a model and actress, I often study my photos with hopes of perfection. When your looks are your job, you place high priority on maintaining your appearance. Although I’ve been a working model-actress in New York and Los Angeles for over 10 years, I’ve always been insecure about my high forehead. As a teenager, I began wearing side parts with bangs to cover my forehead and to distract others from my hairline. As an adult, I struggled with the same insecurity, and often fantasized about being secure with wearing my hair back while running errands and for casual meetings.
My disdain for my hairline was so extreme, I wanted to take the most extreme route to permanently alter my hairline -surgical forehead reduction. I was convinced surgery was the best route until speaking with a plastic surgeon who mentioned hair transplants are minimally invasive, and would be the best option for me. He said hair transplants are significantly less risky and the recovery process is a week or less. I was ecstatic to receive professional advice but wondered why I never seriously considered transplants.
During my initial research, I glazed over hair transplants because 95% of the patient photos I found were of men experiencing hair loss, some more greatly than others, and I didn’t think having my hairline lowered by a couple of inches qualified me for the procedure. The websites I found were all male-focused and intimidating to a sub-30 woman looking to subtly enhance her appearance.
I continued my research by searching for experienced, reputable doctors to perform an extremely natural, undetectable hair transplant procedure. After reading nearly one hundred reviews on multiple websites, exploring overseas options, and comparing doctors; I had my eyes set on the New Hair Institute after discovering Dr. Rassman and Dr. Pak on RealSelf.
I reached out to NHI via the RealSelf website and was contacted shortly after to set up a consultation appointment. I was thrilled to finally take a step forward in my hairline lowering journey!
Going into NHI for my consultation was a big step for me, and like others, I was very nervous. Walking into the office of NHI for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed by the visually stunning office. It’s a meticulously designed state-of-the-art office with a friendly knowledgeable professional staff! During my consultation with Dr. Pak, I was assured the FUT strip hair transplant method would be virtually undetectable. I also learned the New Hair Institute holds U.S. patents for their technology, and they’re truly the leaders of the hair transplant industry! I was impressed on every level with NHI and joyful that my countless hours of research paid off. I scheduled my procedure a month later, and my life has changed for the better since.
My procedure day began at 5am. I washed my hair, dried it without products, and headed over to NHI for my 6:30am appointment. I discussed where I envisioned my hairline and Dr. Pak helped me create the most natural hairline. I was given a menu to pick out my meal choice for lunch (compliments of NHI), changed my shirt for a medical scrub top, and was given sedation via an injection in my arm. I was happy to know an IV and general anesthesia wasn’t required. I felt no pain during the procedure, and was sure to stay on top of pain management by taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen on schedule after the procedure. After the procedure, I was able to see immediate results. Although the newly transplanted hair falls out naturally after one to two weeks, my new hair began to regenerate and regrow after 5 months. After regrowth, I officially had a beautiful permanently lowered hairline which I can cut, color, etc.
Although I wish I found the New Hair Institute sooner, I am extraordinarily pleased with my results and overall experience! Having my hairline lowered has given me a tremendous boost of confidence, in addition to enhancing my appearance!
I was so happy with my hairline lowering results, 13 months after my initial procedure, I went back to NHI to have my eyebrows filled in. I’m awaiting regrowth, but I know they’re going to be beautiful and in the exact shape I’ve always wanted!
If you’re seriously considering hair transplants, set up a consultation with the New Hair Institute, or visit one of their open houses! I’ve heard their patients come from all over the world, and are able to fly in and fly out a couple days later! I honestly believe there’s no better option for hair transplants, and I will forever be a NHI patient!
