WORTH IT
I just returned from my 1-year check-up meeting with Dr. Shaver. I can say, without any hesitation, that my hair transplant exceeded my expectations. Gone are my baseball caps, fear of the wind, and long sighs when looking in the mirror.
I felt no discomfort during my FUT procedure due to the local anesthesia. Post-op. the only mild discomfort I felt was sleeping on the staples from my graft site.
Just like Dr. Shaver said, my newly transplanted hair shed during the first few weeks but it began to regrow almost immediately. I had my staples removed after about 6-8 weeks.
After 3 months I had shed my baseball caps! And between then and now my hair has continued to thicken due to its changing texture. I am very happy.
My procedure with Bernstein Medical Center was not cheap. Going abroad is undoubtedly less expensive. But for me I didn't want to take the risk of the unknown. I am thrilled that I chose Dr. Shaver and Bernstein Medical Center.
