The Cost Was Surprisingly Reasonable
WORTH IT
My hairline started receding a while back and it got to the point that I had a widow’s peak. You know the kind of hairline where the temples barely have any hair. That was me. I had to spend at least ten minutes every morning combing my hair just to hide the recession and I even thought of getting a toupee but after seeing one fly off a colleague’s head, I was not prepared for that level of disaster. Luckily for me, my surgeon at Heva was not new to dealing with Norwood 3 hair loss and he even shared many success stories with me during our first meeting. We used 2200 grafts to cover my temples. Who knew I had so much hair? :) The surgery took over 6 hours and was generally comfortable. However, I had no idea that local anaesthesia injections actually hurt. They stung for a good minute and I remember thinking something was wrong. But once the pain subsided, I felt absolutely nothing, which was great, granted that the surgical team was actually making cuts on my scalp. Healing was much easier than I expected. I healed very well and was back at work in about two weeks. I used Heva Aftercare App throughout the recovery period. As I am writing this, I am 8 months post-op and the density around my temples is very thick and natural-looking. People at work just think that it has to do with my now healthy lifestyle as I have also lost 50 pounds in that time…LOL. The cost was surprisingly reasonable and I believe it’s much cheaper than what I would have paid here in LA.
