Consultation review: saw Dr. Anderson for hair loss advice
Saw Dr. Anderson for Hair Loss Advice
Hello! I saw Dr. Ken Anderson at his Alpharetta office in November 2023 and wanted to leave a review of my experience. First of all, I have been experiencing hair loss since the Spring of 2022 and have used over the counter minoxidil foam from Costco and oral finasteride from Roman to treat my hair loss. I have also done a good bit of research on my own through YouTube and hair loss forums online. I was continuing to lose hair and was growing frustrated as I had switched medications a few times through my primary care doctor and didn’t really have a plan I was following for a path forward.
I was talking with a friend who had seen Dr. Ken Anderson and recommended I go to see him too. I am 28 years old and am prone through genetics to male pattern baldness so am doing everything I can to prevent that for as long as possible. Dr. Anderson was the first real doctor I had seen in almost two years to discuss my hair loss. The office was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Dr. Anderson came and saw me and I explained to him what I had been doing to combat hair loss for the last two years.
I wanted his expertise on what he thought I should be doing and if he recommended a hair transplant. Dr. Anderson told me I was taking all precautions possible and was very positive and encouraging. He didn’t recommend a hair transplant as I was a Norwood 2. He wanted me to continue medication (he recommended topical finasteride) and recommended trying PRP to see if that would help to regrow and thicken hair. I am going to try these recommendations of Dr. Anderson and will update my reviews afterwards.
Overall, I am very happy to have met Dr. Anderson and his team. It helped my confidence to know his thoughts on my hair and what I should be doing in the future. I am happy to now know there is a Doctor in Atlanta I can come to with questions I have regarding hair loss and his immediate response was not to recommend that I get a hair transplant with his office. He even told me I could call him anytime with any questions I have, that was very nice! Thank you, Dr. Anderson and team, for caring for me as an individual and not as a number.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Sounds like you are in the right hands with this doctor. Let us know how you get on with the PRP treatments - fingers crossed that it will give the results you're looking for.
