It was when I was in my mid-twenties that I began to notice my hair loss. It was affecting my confidence and self-esteem. I was receding predominantly from the temples and frontal lobe. It also thinned out at the back. (Please refer to my pictures below)
My main aim to regain my confidence and self-esteem was to have a fuller head of hair with a new hairline with the frontal lobe and temples matching in hair thickness.
In 2017 I chose to look into getting a hair transplant. I began my extensive research and decided to go with Clinicana in Turkey.
I contacted them and the information I received was brilliant. The team in Clinicana were so professional and gave me thorough information regarding procedures, cost and what to expect. The surgeon explained to me in exact detail and we both discussed my new hairline and this made me feel that I was going to gain my self-esteem back. I explained that I would like my hair to be fuller at the frontal lobe and have newly implanted hair on balding temples. Knowing I could achieve having a full head of hair again made me very happy and excited.
I started to feel good about myself again. So after receiving all the information, I decided I would go for the FUE hair transplant treatment option, as this best suited my needs. This valuable information was given to me via a messaging service of watsapp. In these messages contained videos of what the procedure was going to be like for me. Any questions I had regarding any issues before I would sign up were answered by fluent English speaking doctors. Their website was also very helpful and engaging.
So I decided to go ahead with my hair transplant procedure with Clinicana in June 2017. When I arrived at the airport, I was greeted by a very polite driver who was taking me to where I was going to have the procedure. This was all included with the package deal with Clinicana.
Once I arrived at Clinicana, I had my bloods taken to make sure everything was all in order. I was then chauffeured back to my hotel, which was a five-minute drive from Clinicana. The hotel was very modern and spacious. It has a lovely dining area with great food and the staff were very friendly.
I was informed via watsapp that my operation would be at 8am the next morning and my chauffeur was extremely punctual waiting for me at 7.45am. I spent the following seven hours receiving my hair transplant. Having to get the anesthetic was for me the worst part of it to be honest, but this was over in five minutes. The kind nurses, doctors and surgeons would regularly ask me if I was doing ok. This for me put my mind at ease. The doctors at Clinicana extracted 3600 hair follicles, which was more than enough to achieve my objectives.
After the transplant I was supplied with written instructions of the aftercare procedures. These written instructions were as important as the operation itself, as I wanted to have a successful regrowth of hair again. It informed me how to sleep, eat and how to manage and deal with my new regrowth. To make sure that this procedure reaches its maximum potential. Clinicana also answered any other relevant questions I had before returning to Ireland two days later.
Clinicana also provided me with medicine, shampoo and foam, they informed me about when to send them photographs to keep them updated with my progress, after

In all, the entire experience with Cliniicana was extremely professional. I am extremely pleased with my results. As you can see with the pictures below, I now have a fuller head of hair and I feel very confident again.
