Not Good with Severe Gynecomastia Cases

Staff was decent. I had very large irregular shaped gynecomastia glands. surgeons are not experienced with male gynecomastia surgery at the time I went in 04/2019 (wont post unless treatment was in the past 2 years for so i put 2021 on the post). They resected the whole gland, left none to keep separation from the skin and muscles; over time my chest skin attached to my pectorial muscles after 6 months. no way I could show my chest anywhere. paid premium price and went with a Dr. lebowitz in long island NY to fix it.

Hello. Thanks for the review. We remember you well, and I reviewed your case again after seeing this. We removed quite a large gland from both sides, working to get you as flat as possible. Things look good in the OR photos and the skin seemed to redrape well. The photos in the office looked good as well, and then we were communicating in the following months and seeing the skin contract down poorly with pleating. We had planned to revise the chest with release and redraping of the skin, but your trip was canceled due to COVID. We hate it when things heal poorly, and always are happy to provide revisions or touch ups without professional fees when these things arise. We are sorry that you had to do a second procedure, but very happy that everything has turned out well in the end.
Sorry you had such a bad experience with your procedure. It must be tough to come out feeling more self-conscious than before. I'm glad to hear you were able to get it fixed by Dr. Lebowitz.
