Need a Revision of Facelift That Did Not Turn out Well - Greensburg, PA

ORIGINAL POST

I had my consultation and everything was explained to me very well and reviewed my pictures to explain to me what would be done to correct the situation. Was pleased with what I was told. Dr.Lazzaro and staff took their time going over everything so I felt very comfortable knowing what to expect. Will update after procedure is done.

Do you have to pay for your revisions or secondary facelift ?? How/where will it be done? I need a secondary facelift to correct a few issues. I was told his fee would be waived. Now I'm being told the powers that be (whoever they are) set surgeon's fees and hospital fees and saying I have to be charged. I know I'd have to pay hospital fees and anesthesiologist fees, but not his...so I'm pretty upset....he slashed his price by a few thousand, but I say I shouldn't have to pay anything since I was told from the get go, he wouldn't charge me. Good luck to you!

Yes I have to pay for everything since my first facelift was done somewhere else.

I also have had to pay for all my revisions!

I am in the same boat! He is waiving his fee but I have to pay $2,500 for the "facility" taxes plus anesthesiologist fee. I have already paid OVER $20,000 and still have a funky looking double chin! I'm sad.

Oh and this is the same doctor. I also think $2,500 for a facility in his office isn't right. His closer kept saying how nice he was to redo this without his fee. I haven't addressed this with them as I want this fixed and I am afraid to irritate someone who is working on my face! Thoughts?

I agree with u, who did yours?

I wish I could have talked to someone who had it done by the first doctor I had, maybe I would have looked elsewhere.

Hi Z60, sorry you are slammed with high costs. He promised me before surgery that if there was 'anything' that I was not happy with within the first year, that he would fix them free. I had told him throughout that first year. Even my last visit in June he assured me he would do them when it was a good time for me, but I'd have to pay the facility and anesthesiologist fees. I didn't care, so long as my issues were corrected and I was finally happy with my results. Now my first surgery was 8 hours long, so I don't get why revisions/secondary facelift that would be about an hour this time because I'm only getting the secondary facelift this time...costs more for the facility/anesthesiologist for one hour than it did for 8 hours?????????? Now they claim that a surgeon cannot waive his fees. Why??? The surgeon should still honor his agreement. I almost think they are trying to get me to back down and say forget it because I'm not one of the wealthy clients. But I'm not backing down. It's not fair and he should honor his agreement/promise/word. I understand your fear about irritating the person working on your face. I get concerned too but a promise is a promise, he should honor that.

Confused. Did Dr Lazarro due the first one as well and now you're getting it corrected or did another surgeon do your first one and now Dr Lazarro is your choice. AM considering him for my first as well. Thank you!!
July 2, 2014
Someone else did the first one and Dr. Lazarro is my choice to correct the mistakes.

I'm so glad you started your story here and I'll be following along as you update! What about your first facelift don't you like?
July 8, 2014
My first facelift after the swelling went away I saw no change. I still had my jowls, turkey neck, marionette lines :( Second time hit a facial nerve, recovered almost completely, but still no change. Third time had my left ear curled up toward face. Nothing got better only worse. Did cut open my neck under local and removed some, but with a railroad scar. Was not very neat with sutures and left ugly scaring.

Thanks! I guess it would be my 4th. I have gone 7 years of disappointment. It has been so depressing. I hope all goes well with this one.
