How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I had Sculpsure done in summer 2016 and was pretty happy with the results. Did I have 25% reduction? No, but I was told at the time that I had been put on the maximum setting and could see a difference in two weeks- and loved that the procedure is non-invasive. So I scheduled another procedure in late January.
Strapped into the device and chatting, I was surprised when Dr. Lafollette's nurse (never saw the doctor or had any kind of consult) announced that the first 25 minute treatment was over because I had felt absolutely nothing like the deep heat I had felt the first time. I was reassured that I had been at the highest setting and strapped up for another pass.
A couple of weeks later - okay I'll just cut to the chase- after dozens of emails and months of being blown off and absolutely no results I finally got a copy of my records, which showed that I had in fact not been at the highest setting - and now it has been a couple of months with absolutely no results (I took photos) I finally got my money back for the second set of procedures (though not for the first set, about which I was lied to about having been on the highest setting).
Bottom line is that nothing that is actually going to work is going to be painless. For this to work AT ALL you're going to feel some pretty deep, uncomfortable heat: your fat layer need to go up to 45-46°F or the procedure WILL NOT WORK. Since you can't see the display you have to trust that they're telling you truth and in my case they blatantly contradicted what was on their own handwritten records.
If you DO get the procedure done correctly you will likely see results, but nothing like the 25% they advertise. I saw the FDA 510 form and the company claims " In 88% of
the total individual evaluations the evaluators correctly identified the before
and after images... There was an average of 13% normalized fat reduction based
on ultrasound measurements at 12 weeks." 13%- not 25%. So deceptive!
As for 4 stars on payment process, Dr. Lafollette was very prompt to take my money.
Yes, I got my money back for the second treatment but I had to waste 2 months waiting around to prove to them there would be no results and in the meantime got treated like dirt. FUN!
