Splint off today and stitches out

I got my stitches out for both eyes and nose today and my nose splint off. I had a slight reaction to the tape under the splint so my nose is red and a little bumpy but that should go away with time. I know I’m still swollen also. Bruising is also going down so looking forward to getting past the next few days and looking a little more normal but very happy so far with the results.

Feeling more normal every day

So it’s now 4 days post surgery and I am feeling really good. I’ve been stuffy which is to be expected but that has been the most annoying part because I just want to blow my nose which I know I can’t. I haven’t had any pain the past day or two and my bruising has started to turn yellow as of this morning which means it’s getting better also. The swelling that was around my eyes is mostly gone but my lower face is really swollen which I am sure is just a result of surgery. I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water and move around to help.
I get my splint off on Tuesday and am so excited/nervous to see what’s under there. It’s also getting itchy under the tape under my splint so will feel nice to have it off. Dr. Reish did remind me several times that the result won’t be what I am expecting so not to freak out because I will be swollen etc. I am so glad he told me that because my sister had a rhinoplasty years ago elsewhere and was not prepared for that and freaked out. I have been so happy so far with everything with the surgery and the ability to reach out the Dr. Reish personally when I have questions. I’ll keep updating as I heal.

Great Experience So Far for Rhinoplasty and Blephroplasty!

I decided to do something over never done before and document my journey with Dr. Reish and his office to hopefully help others. I’ve had a pretty severe eye asymmetry for years and have wanted to get upper blepharoplasty in an effort to improve the appearance since it isn’t really fixable but only something I can try and camouflage. I’ve also wanted rhinoplasty as well but it wasn’t until this past year when I got tired of chronic sinus issues I decided to look into doing both the upper blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty at the same time. I researched many doctors and came across Dr. Reish and saw all his amazing reviews. I know I am always looking for reviews with lots of in depth photos that show the whole process (good and bad) so figured I would try and help others out by doing the same.
Let me first say I don’t choose a surgeon lightly. If someone is cutting into my body in any way I want to feel completely comfortable. Because if covid I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Reish and he knew exactly what I was hoping to achieve without me having to even try and explain it all. He also was able to let me know what wasn’t possible (I.e. completely fixing my eye asymmetry as it’s an internal bone issue.) I got a great vibe right away and decided to proceed with surgery. I had my pre op appointment February 18th and again he made me feel so comfortable and assured that he would be able to deliver the results I was after. I was also so impressed that he gave me his personal cell number for any questions I may have.
My surgery was this past Tuesday (March 9th) and I was very nervous but the entire staff was so kind and put me at ease. I am horrible with IVs and the anesthesiologist was amazing at making sure I was completely comfortable. It was the easiest experience with an IV ever! I woke up what seemed like moments later and was ready to go home. I was in a small amount of pain but nothing unbearable. The worst part for me was the drip pad under my nose just because it was annoying not because it was painful but I got to take that off today so it wasn’t on too long. These are my before photos, right after and up to now. I will update day by day or every few days if I can along the way. So far even though I can’t see much of the final results the care from Dr. Reish and his team has made the process much more comfortable this far.
