6 1/2 week update
It has been a while since I have given an update. A short little note and some photos of before weight loss and after weight loss, and after surgery. Love my results. This surgery was absolutely the best decision I have ever made for myself. My confidence is amazing, my sexy is fun, and I feel fabulous! I smile all the time! The family has had some health issues of late, but everyone seems to be recovering, and am grateful for that. I have not really been clothes shopping yet, am waiting a little longer. My plan is to do a short round of hcg after Christmas, and hopefully loose 15 pounds before our cruise. Will I wear a bikini? Hmmmmm????? I really don't think I can wear a small bikini, am hoping to find a two piece suit, maybe boy short type of bottoms, and a sexy top....that is about the best I can do at 60. And excercise......i am walking every day, and staying too busy, but no gym yet....only squats and walking. I do need to get on that one, now that the family is on the mend....I can work on working out again. I am ready. My tummy does get tender....at my PS one month follow up, he did tell me he pulled my muscles quite tight, he did not tell me how far apart they were, but when he saw me.... He did say "WOW", I told him my hubby and I say the same thing every day. The tenderness is usually worse later in the day. I have also been trying to go without a CG at times, am unsure how that affects my results in the long run, but just like right now, I am watching our Broncos, sitting on the sofa, with no CG, and am OK. As far as scar therapy, I use the Bio Oil and massage the scars, sometimes I Use Almond oil also, and I have tried the silicone scar strips, am not sure they make a huge difference, but will keep using them. I would like to thank everyone on RS, because of you I was totally ready for this surgery, and I felt I had more support than possible. You all had answers to my questions, and when you asked questions I learned from the answers given to you. The list of items was most important too, what items you used, what items you didn't. Certain things come to my mind, I am so happy I had a toilet seat riser, and my walker from the local thrift store came in very handy those first three days immediately after surgery, now it is going back to the thrift store. Arnica pellets and cream came in handy, protein fruit drinks were my only diet the first week, except for some salt free chicken noodle soup I had made a frozen in individual packets in the freezer. And the electric recliner from the local furniture rental. And plenty of gauze and antibiotic ointment, extra strength Tylenol and flushable wet wipes. Others than
those items I was set. I also set up a nest on the sofa with lots of pillows, this had me on the sofa during the day and the recliner at night or for naps. I was able to sleep in my bed at around 2 weeks, and my side at about 3 weeks. At 6 1/2 weeks I am able to almost sleep on my tummy. Sort of half way between side and tummy, since I had a Breast lift with no augmentation, the breast do get tender if they are squished too much. In fact the seat belt bothers me slightly still across my breast. Oh.....one more thing... My weight, surgery morning I was 170, today I am 167. Surprising actually, because I have not been as careful as I should be. Lots of salads for sure, but do cheat more than I should. This week I had a steak sandwich and French fries, then peach pie for dessert! This morning was French toast and sausage.....time to be careful.

You look so great and have come so far! Wishing you great shopping times ahead! I have already started shopping and oh what fun! Made my husband cry yesterday when I tried on a dress in Nordstroms with no bra on. He is so happy with the results. I do not try on pants because I am still swollen. My breasts are not swollen anymore and have dropped some so I feel safe in shopping for bras and tops and dresses. Nordstroms is having a big sale right now ,shoes, clothing, jewelry, handbags......a lot of fun. XOXO
Hey.....shopping sounds like fun, but I am waiting until after Christmas , I plan on doing another short round of hcg...looking to loose 15 pounds....want to be at 150 and steady before I go shopping. Today I did clean out my jeans....tried on 18 pair of pants, and only 3 would stay on my hips.....loved it!
Just read your journey. You're truly an inspiration! And I think you and your hubby are such the cutest couple ever! Hoping to have a TT and BA in the summer. Will have consults in January. I can only pray my hubby is as supportive and considerate as yours. He should be afterall he is giving me the green light to do this after 13 yrs., since our youngest was born. Sending you my best in your recovery and may you continue to have amazing results.
Thank you so much...as far as hubby goes, he surprised me totally. Up until the day of surgery I thought he had absolutely no 'care giver skills' at all. Surprised me. Best of luck to you, and I look forward to reading your journey. BTW.....best decision I have ever made!
Congratulations at making it to 6 weeks! You sound like you are in such a good place. You have worked hard to get there. Enjoy!!!!
Thank you so very much for sharing your story and pictures. It has really helped me by being so honest. THANK YOU!
Suzdotcom......you are more than welcome. It has been a fabulous journey for me also!
Thank you for coming back to update, Dream Cruiser. It's so very good to hear from. You continue to look amazing! Definitely do a bikini :) Have fun, enjoy that sexy body and continue healing well!
Hmmmm, bikini? Actually I get to travel to Asia in a couple of weeks, and will have a day or so at the beach. Plan is to go shopping this weekend for a swim suit, think I will have to go to a speciality swim and sport store this time of year. We will see what I am comfortable with. It will be fun! a first since I was maybe 16!
All sounds good...and normal...look and feelings (swelling etc). Keep doing what your doing...and watching what your eating, lol. We ALL splurge, trust me. Keep up the good work and great recovery. :-DSuzy
Thanks Suz, occasional cheats are OK, and I do weigh myself and balance out the cheats. Not planning on ruining this body ever again
wow I'm glad to hear your so happy with your surgery! Your pics are amazing! I totally agree with the RS family it totally helped me to be ready both mentally & physically!

Enjoying our mountain retreat. Hubby and I have been doing some easy hikes, thought I had all my energy back until I tried walking up the mountain. Not going to happen just yet, so we have been doing mostly easy flat walks along the river, which has been delightful. Yesterday was a tough day, not sure why, but I know a few possibilities. We went to the sauna and steam room, and I sat on the steps of the indoor salt water spa. Think I got overheated and was dehydrated...wiped me out! So now we are just using the outdoor hot tubs, and I either sit on the step and just have my legs in the hot water, that seems to be working much better. My husband picked out a dress for me to wear to dinner last night, first time for everything right? here is a photo, he did great, didn't he? It is amazing how much my confidence has increased with my own body. I feel proud and excited to show it off theses days. Hugs to everyone, and as you all know sometimes it is hard to answer comments with this new RS format. Let's be patient while RS works on getting the kinks out.

Wow!! You look great!! I'm glad to see that I am not the only one who isn't back to 100% yet!! I've been trying to walk every day and between working, walking and other regular activities I definitely run out of energy before the day is over. And when I say I run out, I mean I absolutely run out...to the point where I feel like I don't have the energy to crawl into bed. Hubby isn't understanding that, although I keep telling him I won't be 100% for at least another month. I know that I look like I'm back to normal, but that is NOT the same as feeling like I'm back to normal!
I have a question for you...have you had any hearburn after your TT? I am having increasing problems with heartburn, something I've never had ongoing issues with. I'm not sure if it's the compression garment maybe putting pressure on my stomach or something I'm eating/drinking or what? I'm trying to go to a regular compression panty and tank set since I no longer have to wear the CG from the doc and not sure if that might be the issue. Wearing my original CG yesterday and today to see if that resolves it, but no luck yet. Definitely not making me happy and I'd really like to figure out what's causing it so I can resolve it!
Hubby is taking me to the mtns in a couple weeks for my birthday too!! So looking forward to a getaway with him!! Have a great time and relax...you'll have to come back to the real world sooner or later so relax while you can!!
Enjoy your time in the mountains, we had wonderful weather....one morning it snowed, but the rest of the time sunny and warm. Back to the real world today...working actually. And no, no heartburn...wonder why, hope the change in CG helped.
Shelley, I don't have heartburn per se, but at night I need to take a Ultra Gas X. I only need to take it after dinner for some reason, but it helps immensely!
The dress looks great!! Don't you love looking so stunning in low neckline and horizontal stripes? I'll bet your husband ate quickly, haha. I get winded and feel my abs pull on inclines yet too. That's a whole different kind of workout. Happy belated birthday, Dream!
So funny, yep, we had a few more workouts than in our normal..old life. Fun times, was a little scared at first...but my my, everything worked perfectly, and no pain!
You look amazingly happy! Soooo thrilled for you!
YES!!! He did a great job picking out your 'sexy' dress. You look amazing!
You look beautiful! Enjoy
