Hi! So I decided a couple weeks ago to do a mommy makeover. A little background, I'm 36, 5ft 1.5 in, 3 c-sections - my boys are 10, 8, 3, I weigh about 120-125 right now. My ideal weight is 110.
After reading the reviews on this site I scheduled a consult with the intention of booking my surgery asap. I initially booked a BA with TT. After getting home I obsessed about what size and how it would look, because I really didn't want bigger, I wanted higher, however, since I had no ptosis and mine just naturally sit low there was no way to lift.
I was so stressed that I emailed the patient coordinator, Kari, who got me in the next day to do the 3d imaging and try on more sizes. She was so kind and patient and really encouraged me to follow my gut. So after all of that, I decided to forego the implants. I have been so relieved and I am extremely appreciative that Kari was so supportive - either way.
So I have my pre-op next week and a quick meet with the doc to see if I can have some side boob eliminated... Fingers crossed!
Looking forward to sharing my experience and participating in others experience through this site, as well.

I went to Dr Vath for my Tummy tuck ten months ago. He is amazing. I am going back June 29th for a breast lift with implants. I an 4 11 and 113 pounds. I used to be a d. I am stressing over size of cc. I'm now a c but deflated. Ugh such a touch decision. You will love him. He is so good at what he does! And drain less is so great. Keep us posted!

Had a great pre-op. Nurse Joyce was sweet and very thorough. Dr Vath stopped in to go over some questions about some possible additional lipo and was super awesome. Then I finished up with Kari, the patient coordinator, who I spoke about in my earlier post.
So I quit smoking for good (I'm an on and off again smoker), mentally preparing myself to stay away from wine and try to get a couple weeks of healthy living in before surgery! 2 weeks! I'm so excited :-)

Hi all just wanted to post to let you know how the surgery went. It went awesome! All of the ladies that worked at the surgery center, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and my surgeon were so wonderful! I woke up and felt fantastic. I went to the bathroom and they helped me to the car and now I'm home and in bed with lots of pillow. I had a few crackers and some naked green juice. It is amazing because I don't feel groggy or sick. My pain is very low.
As a side note I've had a lot of surgeries and I have never emerged this lucid and coherent.
One tip: I took an a line stretchy sleeveless dress that was easy to get on after the surgery I would totally recommend wearing something like that home.
So far a truly wonderful experience. I'll post some pics soon :-)

Thank you for sharing, glad it went so well! Did you get Exparel by chance?

Hey girl! I don't think so, that is an anesthetic? I have a lot of allergies to meds so the anesthesiologist and I had a very in depth conversation and I'm pretty sure we didn't use exparel...

Hi! Congratulations! I am scheduled with Dr. Vath in August. Curious if you had Experal (pain medication) injected into your stomach muscles to help with pain? Keri offered it to me and I could not turn it down. You look wonderful and thanks for the information, advise, and photos!!!

Hi! I had surgery with Dr. Vath this past Thursday. I did Experal and so so glad I did. Very minimal pain....thus far at least
June 20, 2015
Omgosh! That is awesone! 3 days go and your able to post online. Thank you for the post!!!! I will begin my "story" soon as I'm not scgeduled wuth Dr. Vath till late August. Right now I'm enjoying reading everyone else's journey and doing more research. Thanks again!

Curious as to how the lipo area felt? I'm having lipo in saddle bag area and I hear that is extremely painful also. Thanks!

I think it depends on how much they take out. I had a very minimal amount taken out so I had very very little discomfort from the Lipo. Hope that helps :-)
June 22, 2015
Thank you. I have very little also. I was on the fence about doing it at all. My problem is my left saddlebag is bigger than my right...even though they're not big, they are noticeably uneven...
I don't see much bruising in your post-op photos, I hope I'm as blessed as you! Thank you!!!!

sorry to butt in dgirrrl22 but lipo sucks hahahaha literally! I had it done on my inner thighs and that is what has bothered me the worst. It's getting better but it's very painful. I would not do it again and I can not imagine getting it done anywhere else on my body. I'm sure you'll have wonderful results from it though so good luck. :)
June 22, 2015
Thanks for the feedback momof32015 but I have heard that it really does suck....lol. I am concerned because a mommy makeover is huge as it is without adding painful lipo to the mix! I'm 5'2, 125-130 lbs, similar to qwerty15, and she looks awesome, I wonder if I will have similar results. I carry most of my weight in buttocks and legs with a little extra in saddle bag area. Thanks!

I went to my consult assuming I needed all this lipo & was told I need none. What I thought was fat was loose skin so lipo won't help. That could be the case for others who think they may need lipo :-)
June 23, 2015
Yes!!! I have been told that too but I have received different responses from different doctors. Not sure what to believe. Dr. Vath refused to do lipo to back rolls he said it was just fat. Dr. Millard, who's incredible and also teaches other Dr.'s new techniques and methods and invented his own canula said it was fat and can lipo. So, not sure what to believe. I have consulted many different doctors here in Colorado and I'm getting different responses from different doctors, not sure what to believe or do. Oh well, will focus on it later.
June 23, 2015
Oops... meant Dr. Vath said it was SKIN...unable to lipo area.

My 2 cents, I wanted to do chin lipo and arm lipo in addition to the tt. He suggested against it. I have to say that I am so thankful that he did because after 2 weeks of starting to run and lift light weights before my surgery those areas are getting better quickly. It saved me over 4000. I am extremely happy with my results and will start exercising when I can. I started to food log (using the app myfitnesspal) and after the surgery have lost a total of almost 10 lbs. cutting out sodium has had a huge change in how my body looks.

You may have answered this already, so hard to follow things on this site, but Exparel is injected directly into the muscles by the PS. I requested it for sure :-)
