I decided to get Juvederm XC because I did not...
I decided to get Juvederm XC because I did not have enough money to get Juvederm Voluma to my whole face because doctors say I need at least 2 syringes for my hollow cheeks. So, I will do that Later. Anyway, for this procedure I bought a Groupon for Juvederm Ultra Plus XC at 529 plus I had a Discount code for $50 off so I paid $479. I was planning on putting it on my cheeks but it turned out that won't make any difference especially because it is not voluma. So I decided to get half syringe on my lips and The rest in my nasolabial folds. I already had a full lower lip but my top lip has been decreasing in size since I have been losing a bit of weight all over my body/face. I also hate how low my top lip is so I thought the fillers would lift up the lip a little closer to the nose. Anyways, The procedure went well. The nurse Juli was great (see review below). I went in, filled out papers, and was seen almost immediately. I was numbed and explained everything and I felt the needle going in, but once the Lidocaine in the product kicked in, I couldn't feel the product actually going in. She took her time doing each area and let me see in the mirror to tell her If I liked it. Then she would add more where needed. We used up about .7ml for the lips, focusing more on the top lip, but she did add some to the lower lip as well. The she applied the rest to my nasolabial folds which we had discussed in detail before I was numbed. I felt just the pinch of the needle like I said. I have not had any pain whatsoever after the injections. No pain while talking, I could eat and drink whatever without using straws. Nothing in my routine changed. I just had swollen lips the entire day as well as the next day. 2 days later, the swelling started to subside. The 3rd day was even better. I like how she did it but I wish I had not told her to put so much around the border because it looks a bit ducky. But I asked her to put some on the border to raise them. I still love my lips though. My nasolabial folds got the last .3 or so milliliters of Juvederm. The NSL folds got 2 tiny bruises on the sides but concealer hides them. She told me I would want more after my swelling went down and I am already thinking of getting more (on both upper &a lower) so They can look fuller still. But I think for the first time .7ml was good so the lips don't get so stretched or chapped. Oh yeah, I ate a half pineapple the day before to help with bruising, yet I still had a little purple area of bruising on one side of both upper and lower lips (see pics). I'm overall content with the provider and the results. I would definitely do it again and I don't know why I never tried this before. With matte lipstick my lips look even better! (See pics)
