I'm 174cm tall and weigh 68kg after recently losing 28kg through having a healthy diet and going to the gym. I've been happily married for 20 years and our children are aged 19 and 17.
The Gold Coast is renowned for beautiful people who take great care of themselves and I feel so much better having chosen this path of self respect.
We spend so much time in the outdoors, riding our bikes to the beach, swimming etc that I wanted to get rid of the saggy belly and breasts!
After looking at many reviews on this website and doing some research I am so pleased I decided to have my operations done here rather than go overseas where it would have been cheaper but at what I believed to be at a much greater risk. I spent 3 nights in Pindara Private Hospital as advised by my Surgeon, Dr Layt. I was so relieved to have had the best care in a private room where all nurses were wonderful and they served fantastic healthy food. Every single nurse in the hospital was so caring and professional that I am beyond impressed. My drains and pain pump were gently taken out of my stomach (wasn't painful at all) by a nurse on the last morning before I left hospital.
I have no complaints whatsoever about my Surgeon, his staff or the hospital!
I was so excited for these operations but when I woke up from the anaesthetic, I was very confused and sad as I thought they wanted me to walk the dog! I thought I also saw another patient it's a dog too haha!
I found the tummy tuck very painful and asked for pain relief every 4 hours. They gave me Endone and Panadol plus I had the OnQ Pain relief that pumped anaesthetic into my abdomen. I was up walking bent over the next morning as they had a Physiotherapist visit each day to encourage me to walk. Through all the pain, not once did I regret having the surgery although I thought the whole ordeal worse pain than natural delivery childbirth. I was given Panadine Forte to take home as I thought by then I'd be ok without the strong Endone. I had no constipation worries as I took a stool softener once home. I was also worried about the catheter as I'd had problems peeing after having our first child but I was fine. Getting up and down from toilet was very easy too, maybe from all my work at the gym.
I am so glad that I had 3 nights in hospital which I spent watching TV and enjoying the healthy food. The nurse helped me wash just in bed the first day but after that I was able to sit by the bathroom sink to wash by myself. At home here I now use the hand held shower and keep the incision areas dry. As my husband is currently working overseas my Mum stayed the 4th night (1st night home from hospital) here at home with me but I was fine. I had precooked healthy meals and put in takeaway containers in the freezer.
I have been very careful to eat no salt, carbonated drinks or unhealthy food since my operation although I've been eating quite healthy anyway. I've lost 1.5kg since then as I'm not going to the gym so have halved my calorie intake. I would now be on about 1200 calories per day which includes a protein shake and protein bar each day.
My electric recliner chairs have been useless so far as I prefer to roll on my side to get up and the chair arm gets in the way. I got a grabber thing off eBay for when I drop things on the floor and it's handy.
Yesterday was my 1 week post op visit at the surgery. I was so relieved to be told very thing is healing really well. The lovely nurse cleaned me up and replaced my dressings with different ones. It's so funny to see the moles on my stomach have all moved lower haha! In one week I'm to remove the dressings, shower over the area and replace with siltape which I am to use for the next 3 months. I've had to wear a special bra and binder since the op which I will use for next 3 months also as I've been advised.
I'm really looking forward to my stomach not being bloated, my breasts dropping down into their sockets and getting back to the gym!
I will add more photos as time goes by ????

Wow, I couldn't be happier with my results at this early stage! I've been very careful with my diet and am the lightest I've ever been since I was 18 yeas old, losing 2.5kg since my op. My only complaint is I really miss the gym and it's very hard to just sit around. I have started gently walking the dog down the beach. I'm planning on going back to the gym next week to walk slowly on treadmill and go on the bike. I stopped taking medication (Panadine Forte) after 9 days.

All going really well. Can't wait to get back to the gym but trying to wait so I don't wreck anything. Not feeling any pain but do feel my stomach is really swollen as the day goes on. I'm still really tired but as I have mild Lupus and Sjrogens autoimmune diseases, this is to be expected.
