17 days post op

Wow what a difference a few days can make. I am so my stronger in myself, things are healing nicely apart from the part which had to be re-stitched. That is still a little open and leaking a watery pink fluid which the PS says better out than in. Am a little concerned as I have a lump at the back of my leg on that side where it was so hard for him to stitch neatly. I'm hoping he can sort that out for me at some point as it's not a good look, all the skin is bunched up. I am still swollen but know I will be for a while, but am still so happy with the results already. All of that disgusting saggy skin is gone :-). My PS is amazing, the aftercare has been so good. Calls from the nurses every day and the PS himself opening up his rooms on Saturday so that he could put some stitches in the part that opened. Here are my day 17 pics....whole abdomen still swollen right from under breasts and hips and thighs swollen.....excited to see it all going down.

I haven't updated yet as it's been a tough couple of weeks for me. Fainting, panic attacks, haematomas that had to be draining and stitches needed after the wounds around the neck of my leg opened. I finally now feel like I am steadying to recover. The majority of the problems came from the thigh lift but my thighs were my major problem so I would always have chosen to get them done over my tummy if I had to choose one. That said I am super happy with my tummy already even with the swelling. It'd do exciting to not have a flap hanging down and a crater for a belly button. Can't wait to see results for my thighs, the saggy skin has definitely gone but they are very swollen so it's hard to see what the results will be. Anyway here are my day 13 pics.

Long story short. Put a ton of weight on when pregnant with my Eldest son. Fast forward 17 years and I have finally got it all off and am healthier and stronger than I have ever been but have been left with the saggy skin that the fat used to fill out. I'm having a tummy tuck and medial thigh lift (groin incision only) in 2 days and am extremely nervous to say the least - more about the thigh lift and preventing the incisions from opening. There is not a lot of info out there from people who have had these 2 surgeries at the same time so I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and add my journey to this very useful site.
