I need to post these before images

Before surgery my nose was obstructed on both sides. Breathing was hard due to a trauma and broken nose from 10 years ago. I liked my nose appearance but my breathing was bad. I choose Dr Grigoryants due to his great reviews and overall consistent outcomes.
Let me just say rhinoplasty is a BIG decision and I think for me I should have not done this surgery. My breathing is a little better but I have a whistling noise and also pain still 6 months post op. Kissing my husband or kids hurts as my nose bumps their cheeks. This has been a rough recovery and still annoying.
I am posting images of my pre surgery inside view and a before and post op picture.
I am not botched but I am not satisfied. Although my breathing was bad I could freely kiss my babies with no pain. I do miss my old nose. It was thinner. Pointier. My tip is wider now. I have a graft in my base and it puts pressure on my top teeth roots. Overall wishing I had never done this. I am not about regrets but this I regret.
I post in hopes I can help even one person. Save one person the pain I feel.

Still having pain when nose is touched

PearlMalina
Pain is still here. If I scrunch my nose or touch it for example when doing my make up it’s tender.
My nose began making a whistle noise from the left nostril last week. I hope this goes away.
I still miss my old nose. It was thinner and personally I feel it was “prettier”.
What I have learned from this is even though my nostrils were completely blocked and I was unable to breathe I should have gone with a ENT. I did not need to change the outside appearance only needed help on the inside.
I should have followed my gut. I was caught up and thought the surgery would look better after. You live and learn. To those looking at rhinoplasty, follow your gut. If you have a bad feeling about doing it, trust yourself. ????

Still using patience

PearlMalina
Trying so hard to be patient and kind to myself as I heal. I have some regret at this point. My nostrils are wider, I miss my thin nose. I still have a lot of pressure in my upper teeth from septal area being tight.
My lower septum is very very thick and tight at the base.Re-evaluating at 4 months.

Hi! Your post op pictures look really good to me. Sorry you’re still having a hard time. I hope it gets better and better for you as your nose continues to heal

The side view looks good. My front view is wide and I regret surgery because my nostrils flare out compared to pre surgery.

Did he not reduce your nostrils?
February 13, 2019
To be honest I am not sure why my nostrils flare out? From the front view it looks like I am flaring my nostrils but I am not, it’s just how they are. I am still early on at 3 months post op, so I hope they relax with time. I liked my nose before surgery but suffered with both sides blocked from previous trauma, I should have gone to a ENT and just fixed the internal problems. I try to stay positive and busy but I miss my thin nose.

He did reduce the nostrils but they stick out wider now so it confusion. I have a sore on septum still not closed. In 3-6 months I plan to finish this review

I know it is your face and a change even as small as it may be, is still different to you and hard to deal with right now. Its easy for me to say this from the outside, but I’m going to tell you this anyway...you are very pretty and I like the way your nose looks. It looks very much the same to me as before the surgery. Also, from the reviews and all the reading that I’ve done, im thinking you still have swelling and changes are yet to come. I empathize with you and the sadness that you are feeling with not being completely happy with our nose right now. My surgery is in less than 2 weeks and I dont think I am prepared for the way I will feel afterward (the depression that just about everyone seems to go thru during the first several months). Just the thot of it makes me nervous, so I know that what you are feeling must be a bit overwhelming sometimes. I will keep u in my thoughts and prayers that you will be very happy with your final outcome.

Thank you so much. I have really used the support offered my multiple people on Realself. This has been the hardest healing I have ever been through mentally and physically but the support and advice from others has lifted me and encouraged me. I hope our surgery goes perfect and you are in love with the new you.

Hey sweet girl! I just wanted to check in and see if things are getting any better for you?
March 27, 2019
Sara, I’m guessing you had an open surgery if you mainly went in for functional issues. I know all the best docs recommend open approach for functional surgery. That could explain why your base is thick and tight because of the columella cut. Sending you positivity

Sara, I’m sure you’ll end up loving your nose. Grigoryants told my mom’s friend it takes 8 years for all the swelling to be gone. She said had she known, she wouldn’t have bothered with the surgery. Her nose is a lot wider than it was before his surgery. She’s 5 years post op so she still has another 3 years to go according to him. I hope her nose gets thinner for her sake
