First off, i have been going back and forth with whether or not i want to write a full review. i really am just terrified of posting photos online. the internet is very weird. i dont want my photos ending up in other places, so i will not be doing that.

what i will say is dr. grigoryants is so amazing! first impression- kind, confident, assertive, talented. he did not disappoint.

obviously i was very very scard but i knew i had my mom with me the entire time so that helped. my dad and sisters were also very supportive. it is so nice to have an amazing family.

on to the surgery portion-- during my consultation dr. grigoryants noticed that i had a deviated septum. that being said, i had a septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and turbinate reduction. my surgery took two hours. oh and he performed the surgery closed. yay no scars!

i bruise so easily, and when i was done with surgery i had one black eye and the other had a small bruise. when i went to bed the night of surgery i had two black eyes! ahhhh! the day after my surgery (day 1) and i had two black eyes and swelling around the middle of my eyebrows and my eyes. i looked like a baby elephant.

surprisingly, on day 3 i woke up with my bruises being yellow. there was no longer any red/purple/blue. (days are going-- day 1 surgery, day 2 day after surgery, day 3 2nd day after surgery.

cast removal

initallly i was scared to get the cast off and the splints out of my nose. it was just something i had read was painful. gohar, dr. grigoryants surgical tech actually did this. my mom was like "you are doing this? is she not going to she the doctor today?" she was actually uneasy about it, but once gohar explained that she is a surgical technician and also removes them all was well and here is the best part. i did not even feel a thing!!!!!! she was sooooooo good! when she removed the cast i felt a slight pressure. no pain at all, and then i literally said "is it times for the splints now? :(" she was like "oh i already did those" amazing!!! girl... you rock!

once dr. grigoryants came into the room he was like "wow... you are healing very well. you look great!" basically, i had two small yellow lines under my eyes. he said my nose looked great and that i still had some slight swelling, but that is normal. he was kind of pressing on it, which felt reallllly weird and slighty uncomfortable but not bad at all. (side note: when the cast came off i thought i was going to look like a freakshow because everyone uses the terms "avatar" or "piggy" so i wasn't expecting much, but it actually looked great!

all in all, call dr. grigoryants' office now!! schedule your consultation!!! go go... you will not be disappointed. he is so so so talented, but he is humble, down to earth, relatable and super kind.

and dear god.. he is quite easy on the eyes! dreamy....

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on RealSelf! Hooray for feeling nothing when the cast/splints came off! That's awesome! What would you say was the most difficult part of recovery for you?

Honestly, the day after my surgery was rough. We drove home (about 2 hours) that day and I think that was a bit much because the pressure we I got home was just hard to handle. I ended up taking my pain killers too close together when I got home. Then I started crying for no reason. I would recommend maybe staying until the cast is removed, and definitely take it easy on the pain killers. I almost forgot I took SinEcch, used arnica cooling gel on my bruises, and I drank a lot of pineapple juice!! That may have helped me?

That does sound like a hard day. I'm glad you're on this side looking back. :)

May I ask how much he charged for your operation?
March 14, 2014
It was 8,500 but I had a rhinoplasty, septoplasty and also a turbinate reduction. That price included bloodwork and all post-op checkups. He also doesn't charge for a primary rhinoplasty consultation.

Ok thanks! Yeah, I get put off by those that charge $200 or so for a consult, especially if you end up seeing a few doctors could easily cost a grand in no time!

So reassuring to read your review! I'm on day 3 after my surgery with Dr. G, and although I feel fine & my bruising has almost completely gone - around my eyes has swollen up so much I look like an alien! It's hard to know what my nose looks like under my cast, but I just have to keep the faith in Dr. G's work! I've had lots of delicious green juice delivered from Pressed Juicery which is helping keep me upbeat. I hope you're really loving your results a month and a half on!
