Excited but a Little Nervous

ORIGINAL POST

Just had my pre op with Dr. Vladimir Grigoryants ....

WORTH IT$9,500
Just had my pre op with Dr. Vladimir Grigoryants . My consult went great he answered all my questions but he was a little rushed during my pre op appointment which makes me a little nervous. I was not able to express to him exactly what I wanted. He told me what he would want to do with my nose which sounded great but since I was not able to show him my picture inspiration nor tell him my major concerns. Will I get a chance before my surgery or does he just jump right into it?

He also did not seem to remember which patient I was, I know he meets many patients a day which may make it hard to remember but I did not feel like I was taking care of in the best way. This makes me a little uncomfortable. Should I be nervous?

Hey ! Dr Grigoryants is an amazing surgeon and he has always been that way to everyone I believe he is a very busy man so that should tell you something if you have any concerns you should just email him (: he will also meet with you before surgery so maybe you can show him the pictures? I'm getting my cast off tomorrow and I'm very excited to see my new nose(: I'll be uploading pictures if your interested good luck!

Thank you for commenting! Did he ever has you if you wanted a slope or not? or did you have a chance to show him pictures of what you wanted?

You're welcome! No he didn't when I went in for my consultation he immediately pointed out all the things I wanted to change about my nose I had a whole bunch of pics to show him but I didn't because I didn't want to feel disappointed if I didn't get what I wanted! I also trust his view he's very artistic you can say plus idk if you noticed he somewhat does the same nose to everyone and he makes them thin and with a little slope and that's exactly what I wanted he will also show you with his fingers how your nose will look like but if you really want a noticeable slope than I suggest you speak up next time you see him (:

I just had my surgery this morning. I love that he is quick and straight to the point. He knows what he is talking about and it sticks with out. If you have someone rambling on and you lost and confused and it could be them building them selves up and the results aren't very good in the end.
I chose DR. G based on his results and reviews, not by how short or long the consult was.
I have minimal bruising and pain and I can't wait to get my cast off!

How soon can one go back to work after undergoing alar base reduction (nose job) ?

I went back to work a week after. But I was still very bruised and swollen. However it did not affect my work.

Just got done with surgery

hernagr2011
Today my mother drove me up to surgery appointment with Dr. Girgoryants. The wait time was insane but I expected that already due to all the reviews on here. My appointment was at 11am, they did not end up calling me back till 2pm and my procedure was over at 6pm.

Your not allowed to eat or drink water so expect to be hungry. Dr. Girgoryant's team was lovely they explained the procedure and Dr. Goldstein (the anesthesiologist) is amazing. He makes you feel comfortable as you drift to sleep. Dr Girgoryants was fast as always, he explained what he would do in less than a minute. Therefore, don't be alarmed if you think you are not getting special treatment it just how he works.

After the procedure, I woke up with so much pain. As if my face was hit by a train. Of course with this pain I couldnt help but feel regret. But that quickly went away after I ate and took a pain killer.

I am able to breath through my nose (not entirely) which surprised me. Even though I still have to depend on my mouth for oxygen I steal little breaths of air through my nose here and there.

Hopefully the healing process is fast for me! Iwill post more pictures after my cast is removed.

If anyone knows any advice to help with the swelling please let me know.

You're going to swell up alot! I can tell by the bruising on your bridge.
All my bruising was going by 14 days post op. I used heaps bruise cream and would layer it on before bed and let it soak in at night. Make sure you ice your face lots, that'll help.

Can't wait to see your results. I'm 20 days post op, and I'm struggling still with my front view.
