Hi everyone ! I'm having my second consultation soon for my rhinoplasty that will be on April of next year. I have decided to have my procedure with Dr. Grigoryants because I really like this work, how professional he is , and how attentive he is to his patients. I always wanted to have this procedure done so I'm very excited ! I made a list of all the things I want to discuss with my doctor however any suggestions/ advice on what to go over ? I want my consultation to be as productive as possible !

Important points to know ahead of time, will he reduce the projection of your nose? What degree of an angle is he considering for your face's profile? Do you have a deviated septum, if so, can he bill insurance?
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

I haven't discussed the degree of the angle so that's an excellent point . No one I know has ever had this kind of procedure so I'm new to all this thank you !

You chose an excellent Dr. for your rhinoplasty. From all the B&A pictures I have seen, he is an artist!
You mentioned this will be your second consultation. Was the first one via email or in person? I had an email consultation with him and then I flew to California for an in person consultation. He agreed my nose can improve with subtle changes and he was super nice and attentive. Due to work and personal commitments, I am still trying to figure out when I'll be able to have this surgery done but I have been considering a second consultation in person as I now feel I have a much better understanding of the process (thanks to this website and all the incredible, knowledgeable, caring people that have contributed so much) and I would definitely show pictures, which I regret not doing on the first consultation.
It's definitely important to feel you are in the same page with your surgeon so my advice is to go in well prepared, ask all your questions and clarify any concerns.
Good luck!

Wow, the swelling really went down from the cast removal to the third month post-op. Also, your nose looked a little crooked from the front view, likely due to uneven swelling, and then your nose looked straight in the 3 month post photo. Has your swelling gone down anymore? Does the nose bridge look completely straight to you? I'm really curious as to how much uneven swelling can make a nose look crooked. Thanks!

Questions on financing options at Grigoryants' Office
FBVMay 29, 2016
Hi everyone ! My surgery is just around the corner ( scheduled for June 21 ! ) I'm excited but also worried . I have my third consultation soon and all of sort of things are crossing my mind. I have saved for my surgery for some time now but I'm just reading about the financing options his office offers. I might qualify for their zero interest loan ( based on the description given) Has anyone used the financing option offered with his office ? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys !

They're financing options are carecredit and a discover credit card. Do not get carecredit, I work in the healthcare industry and they're the worst financing option unless you're desperate. They have a fixed HIGH apr; depending on credit score some are as high as 24%. The Discover card is a better option, I did use this option and was approved $1500 0% APR until end of 2016.
What I did; I had a credit karma account and worked up my credit score about 8 months prior. They track your credit score and offer different credit cards based on your reliability and score. I opened 4 cards in all, 3 of which offered rewards. In the Chase Rewards card I earned $200 and some odd dollars after maxing it out, I then transferred it to my checking account and in turn paid off another card which didn't have 0% ape.
I'm almost done paying off my nose which cost me $6k out of pocket. The rest was billed to my insurance.
Wish you luck and remember to drink lots of Pineapple juice! You'll heal in no time.

Just around the corner ! Wish me luck !

Hi everyone ! Surgery is just around the corner and boy am I excited ! I will be uploading my before photos so y'all can see my progress. My pre-op went fine and I discussed with Dr. Grigoryants our plan. However I wish we had more time to discussed it in detail. I know, I know he's very busy. He will be reducing the bump on my nose and refining the tip. I mentioned that he suggested on our previous consultations that we wanted to reduce/take in my nostrils just a little but on our pre-op he didn't mentioned it and I had to remind him and that takes me a little bit worried. Has he changed his mind? And no longer thinks it's necessary? When I asked , he said it will help my apearance when I smiled just a bit. He said we will be reviewing our plan once again prior to surgery and I'll have time to discuss it with him more in detail, even if it's just a few minutes .
I did my rhino with a local surgeon who is good and has a great rep, but does open rhino's. Dr G does closed and it's much better for scarring and swelling and of course getting to the final outcome more quickly. To do it again I would have chosen Dr G and paid extra to fly to Cali and stay in a hotel and such. He's the best. He's the guru. You're in the hands of the maestro - you've chosen well.
Just be happy and start pouring over photos so you can get the exact nose you want :)
