As many of you on here, I have always had a complex about my nose ever since I was 12 years old. I don't mind how the front of my nose looks (since it is narrow/slim). However, my profile is what I've always been very insecure about. When I smile it droops down. I was always self conscious about taking photos from the side because of how it looked. I feel like I was suppose to be born with a smaller nose that fits my face better. I had my surgery today (February 6th) and am SO HAPPY I went through with this! I am obviously very swollen right now and I have a cast on my nose, but I can already see the results are going to be better than what I originally had lol! This website has helped me tremendously, so i'm doing this review to help anyone else considering Rhinoplasty.

Hi! So I just wanted to update you guys on my recovery so far.
Day of surgery went smoothly. I was super nervous before going under, and the nurse there was very nice and made sure I felt comfortable. I remember getting wheeled into the surgery room where they moved me to the other bed, and after that I was out. I remember waking up to the nurse asking if I was in pain, and I said I felt a stinging sensation in my nose. She told me that's from the extra anesthesia they put and that it's normal to feel that. Shortly after my mom came in to see me and Dr. G also came and told me that everything went well, and that I have a girly nose now. It made me SO happy to hear him say that lol.
I didn't have any nausea, just been feeling really congested these past 4 days and still very swollen and bruised. The first 2 days I was bleeding a lot! I had to change my gauze every couple hours. It felt like it was never gonna stop! It's also been hard for me to eat because my upper lip is stiff and has barely any movement, and I can't taste anything. I've been living off smoothies for the past few days. It pretty much feels like I have a cold with sinus pressure and headaches. I've been taking the pain meds that we're prescribed, which has been helping me a lot with the pain/discomfort.
I get my cast off this Saturday! I'll update you guys then! xo

Yes it did a little. But it was mainly my nostrils that would flare out when I smiled.
