WORTH IT
I thought I knew all my options when it came to reconstructive surgery after my double mastectomy...until I met Dr. Sigalove. He introduced me to an immediate bilateral breast single stage direct reconstruction with silicon implants and AlloDerm. Also known as a the Sigalove Technique.
As an alternative to staged expander-implant breast reconstruction, the direct-to-implant approach allows the possibility of placing a breast implant immediately at the time of the mastectomy. In most cases, this direct-to-implant approach is made possible by the use of a dermal matrix such as AlloDerm®, allowing immediate results in a potentially single-stage or “one-step” breast reconstruction procedure.
This procedure made the most sense to me and offered the least amount of recovery time. I was back to work in a week and felt 100% in four weeks.

Wow, that's amazing, thank you for your post! Would you feel comfortable sharing photos of your results in a sports bra or however else you feel comfortable?
I'm curious, did you have radiation treatments? Reason I ask is I'm wondering if radiation recipients are candidates for direct-to-implant.
