Bad Fat Transfer - Glasgow, GB

not fixable

Anonymous3155
$5,600
Hello

Following a very invasive and expensive reconstructive operation to try and fix the problems, plus a number of other treatments there has been some minor improvement - however I have been advised that the bulk may be unfixable and it's likely I'll have to live with it.
I'm collating a range of photographs taken by surgeons I saw after the procedure and will upload these together with information from consultation reports very soon.
In the meantime, I advise anyone considering this procedure to think very carefully. When fat transfer goes wrong or in the wrong hands I believe it can be more disfiguring than any other poor outcome from cosmetic surgery - and in many cases impossible to correct.

scars

Another problem I have following my operation with this surgeon is unpleasant scarring; Surgeons I have seen for second opinions since, have informed me the scars will need revising and I have been told that the scars are of 'very bad quality' that they are too far in front of the ear and too obvious. They appear very clumsy scars to me and i can see why the surgeons have suggested they be revised, 16 mo,nths after my procedure they seem a very visual indication of the quality of the surgery I had and I have told they are shocking- but to be honest they are low down on my list of problems to address following this surgery as I have far more considerable issues. Has anyone had MACS lift scars revised by a second operation and were you happy with the results.

I'm really sorry to hear that your scars are awful. It sounds like you went to an unskilled doctor who does not possess the talent required for this job. The doctors who do the best face lifts spend at least 2 hours stitching the ears up. A good result around the ears with no scarring or distortion is the hallmark of a successful face lift. It is a shame that people continue to give money to the charlatans who can't do their job properly - there are many better options out there and hopefully your review will help people make an informed decision.

I am so glad I read your post.. was considering visiting this surgeon for short scar but after reading have decided against it. Sorry to hear about the terrible time you have been going through but when its your face its so upsetting-something that cant be hidden, hope things are getting better.

cost of fat transfer

Anonymous3155
To anyone who is considering this treatment : i have seen facial fat transfer results that have been amazing, however in the wrong hands i feel it is potentially one of the most deforming cosmetic treatments available. The list of problems i have been left with as a result of this treatment following post-op examination by respected surgeons is lengthy and growing more so (happy to share). If you are considering this surgery, i strongly advise you to have a considerably amount of money set aside for reconstruction in the event that you get a bad result (iro 20,000 GBP). If you end up in the heartbreaking position of having life -changing, detrimental side effects from this surgery, i advise to seek at least 3 post-op second opinions from respected surgeons as soon as possible - regardless of whether the surgeon who did your operation is adamant the result is okay or not.
