WORTH IT$5,200
I had breast asymmetry, a prominent chest wall, widely spaced breasts, a slanted ribcage, outward oriented nipples... the list goes on and on. I always knew I wanted to have a BA done, but I guess I never thought I would be driven to do it so soon! Around September after my 19th birthday I really started looking into it and scheduled my BA for the end of December with Dr. Joshua Olson. I only ever expected to get results as good as my body's... err, predicaments... would allow. But I knew any sort of improvement was better than what I had and I was tired of barely fitting into my 34A cup bras and looking at my very weird breasts every day. My surgeon and I decided on textured silicone implants, 325cc in one breast and 375cc in the other, under the muscle. We decided on textured implants so that they would hold their place better long term since I already have such a gap between my breasts. I by no means wanted large breasts, just a small C cup to fill my clothes/bathing suites better. My surgeon also didn't want to go any large considering my small frame regardless, so it all worked out!

He was always very up front about all of the challenges we were facing with my BA, but also gave me confidence in the result I would end up with. I came out of surgery expecting something kind of scary, like implants being huge/swollen and sitting up high... but that didn't happen. I'd have to say I looked pretty good for someone right out of surgery. I took 11 days off of work (I'd rather be safe than sorry) and was completely taken care of by my boyfriend/family. Between being taken care of and taking it extremely easy, it allowed for me to heal well and get back to work with no problems. Definitely be prepared to take the time off of work if you don't want to be miserable, people who say they go back after 3 to 5 days... I really just don't get it. I was on my medications every 6 hours on the dot for the first week! I'm now exactly 2 weeks post-op and am just taking ibuprofen prior to going to work just to help with any muscle soreness that I usually start to feel towards the end of the day. Ultimately, it was definitely worth it. I know I'm only 2 weeks out but I love the results already and cannot wait to be able to invest in some bras to help with my cleavage that I'm now able to have! I'm so excited to see where I am at around 6 weeks post-op. So my best advice is be mentally ready, be realistic with your expectations, be able to take time off work, have someone to help you, and follow your surgeon's instructions. The pictures below are before, one week after, and two weeks after.

Thank you for sharing your story with all the helpful tips! You look great...congratulations! You may want to wait another month or so before getting professionally fitted for your long term, more expensive bras. Your shape will take a little while longer to completely settle in and it's nice to make sure your good bras fit well. Hoping you'll update us again soon!

I haven't bought anything expensive yet! I'm just estimating I'm about a C, I haven't been professionally fitted yet either. But thank you!

Sounds good! Looking forward to an update to your review when you have time!
