Provider Review
Dr. Sam Gershenbaum performed calf implant surgery on my right leg on June 4, 2015, due to atrophy resulting from a congenital condition. I suffered severe complications including Compartment Syndrome which is an extraordinarily serious condition. I’m now permanently disabled (no feeling in my lower right leg, and can no longer move my right foot or toes). This has severely impacted the quality of my life. For anyone looking into plastic surgery, you should know that medical malpractice insurance is not required in the state of Florida. Attorneys are extremely reluctant to represent clients against doctors who have no medical malpractice because it can be extremely difficult to collect even with a winning judgment. Dr. Gershenbaum didn’t carry any medical malpractice at the time of my surgery. I now get to live my life with this permanent disability. I tried calling Dr. Gershenbaum recently to discuss this situation; he never returned my call.
