The journey to tighten my face began over year...

The journey to tighten my face began over year ago, after I went to South Korea for V-line surgery. The surgery left me with loose skin especially in my middle and lower face region. Although it was not noticeable to others, I knew it wouldn’t get better with age so I decided to nip it in the bud before it became very noticeable.
I tried various minimally invasive procedures such as PDO threads and facetite. Nothing really worked. I felt like I needed an inch pinched on both sides of my face. I consulted multiple doctors and they all agreed that I was not a candidate for a facelift and most didn’t have any relevant alternative options. I started down the rabbit hole of considering cheek implants or fillers but ... in the end, I decided more prominent cheeks is not the look I really wanted.
Dr David Whiteman was confident in his ability to make me happy. He suggested a mini lift that would give me a ponytail effect. The ponytail lift would give me what I wanted without unsightly surgical scars in front of my ears. Sounded good to me! I’ve had many surgeries in the past and he’s the only doctor that actually gave me an Arnica kit for postoperative swelling and bruising which I thought was a very nice touch!
I am four days postop and haven’t had any significant swelling , bruising or pain. I have slight swelling in small area which I had fatgrafted to my jaw line. This is the only surgical procedure I’ve had in my life that has been virtually pain-free. The pull on the sides of my face feels very comfortable and natural. It actually feels kind of good... in a weird way. I have been able to sleep just fine without waking up in discomfort or pain. So far my recovery has been a breeze

@missabc123 did you find that this change the shape of your eyes or any part of the face?

I had my cheekbone and jawline reduced and was wondering if this will fix the laxity of the cheek and jawline?

Hello! Yes this changed the shape of my eyes & brows a little, but not toooo much. They are more pulled at the corners. I will update with a full picture soon when these yucky cabs come off.
The last thing I wanted was for the doctor the put fat along my jawline but it looks so much better!! So I definitely recommend getting a fat graft to the Jolle line or using a permanent filler like Bella Phil the jawline or with a permanent filler such as

sorry to answer your question more clearly, Yes in order to fix your skin laxity, you’ll have to cut a little skin off and then fill the areas with something to redefine your new facial features.

I'm concern that bellafill in a few years might migrate and look weird in a few years

If you ended up getting fat to your newline would it be right to say the v line jaw shave was a waste of money?

Dont trust this doctor for anything. After paying hom almost $8,000 for breast lift with implants replacement, he left my breasts botched and I had to pay another doctor to fix what he messed up.

Thanks for sharing your post. I can completely understand where you are coming from. I also went to south korea for v-line surgery and accusculpt laser Lipo on my buccal fat and under the chin fat in April 2018 and am now left with saggy facial skin, I don't know if this is just swelling that had not gone or what. How long after your surgery did you start to realise that something was wrong? I'm in contact with the medical agency about my matter at the moment.

But it's a common fact that when you reduce bone the skin will most likely become looser as it's lost its bone support. I think most people will need necklifts or mini facelifts after.

Washed My Hair Today
MissABC123March 6, 2018
Oh it felt sooo good!
OK I must admit that I’ve been scared to wash my hair. I get visions in my head of my stitches popping open and my fairytale ending coming to dismal halt
The doctor told me he use some sort of super glue over the stitches. I have had liquid stitches in the past and the wound popped open so I’ve been traumatized.. but the liquid glue Dr Whiteman used is Obviously very different. I swear my sideburns feel hard as stone. BTW, my sideburns are numb. Can’t feel em. I’m starting to wonder if I should’ve washed my hair earlier so that the glue will be soft in time for my stitches to be removed Wednesday. If the glue remains this hard, I can only imagine the stitch removal will be the worst part of this whole experience. Then again my sideburns are numb sooo perhaps I won’t feel anything at all. Wouldn’t I be so lucky.

I woke up and noticed small specks of blood on my pillow. I’m a side & belly sleeper so sleeping on my back is rough sometimes... I’m going to do my best to keep that area dry & only clean with witch hassle tonight
Even though it was only specks of blood I’m still concerned because I get my stitches removed tomorrow and the wound still has a long way to heal. Parts of the wound are being pulled tight. What in earth will happen when the constraints are removed under all that tension? I just hope my face doesn’t burst open!

I understand that once the stitches come out, the creases/wrinkles by my sideburns will “relax” It will look normal... but since this is my first time doing this. We’ll have to see!
