35....3 Kids....44HH!

Living with the pain of big boobs for 8 years. Each time i had a baby, my breasts got bigger. But, no matter how much weight I lost, "the girls" would not go down. Just had my 3rd baby this past November. The pain got so bad that it hurt like hell just to hold him. My other two boys, I breast fed for 6 months...which was my plan this time too. However, I couldn't hold him let alone nurse him. I was ( and still am) hurt by the fact that he would not get as much breast milk as his brothers, but I did what I could.,,,but the surgery had to happen....ASAP before my baby became too big to hold. Now, I am 42 C and I couldn't be more proud of the work Dr. Stephenson did. The pain is gone, and I can now bond with my new baby bear.

Post-Op #3

NO MORE TUBES! NO MORE CEPHALEXIN (took my last one this morning). Dr. Stephenson says I look good, and healing well. Just keep wearing the sports bras. Pad them if I want to...if not...no big deal. Still no lifting more than 5 lbs...or just use good judgement. Although my son now weighs 13 lbs, I only really pick him up to change and feed him. No walking around with him. I did pick him up in the middle of the night, just out of habit, trying to get him back to sleep. I learned quickly that that was not the best idea.

One Week Post-Op

Well...here it is....1 week and I feel great. I've been taking my antibiotics as directed, but I think I'm having an allergic reaction to it. At first, I was given Cephalexin, but shortly after taking my first pill, my body started itching all over. Called the PS office and he prescribed Clindamycin. Been taking that for a week now and the other day, my va-jay-jay started itching like crazy. Sweating, smelling kinda harsh, still itching uncontrollably, tender to touch, and sometimes felt like it was melting and UGH...wearing underwear was more uncomfortable than usual. I bought some Vagisil wipes, and that helped a lot....until I take the next dosage. Now I know you're wondering, why don't I call Dr. Stephenson and get another script. Well, I only have another day's worth to take, and since I have to see him tomorrow anyway, why get another prescription filled when this one is almost out. From what I can see, I may not need anymore after tomorrow. Most of the dead skin has come off, and it all looks like it's healing up well. I PRAY, that he will take these awful tubes out of me. I swear, this is the worst part of having surgery done. The fluids have subsided enough that I am confident that he will remove them....then maybe I can get a good night's sleep.
I'll post the results of my second follow-up. Until then...nighty-night!

Dr. Stephenson is an excellent surgeon. His bedside manor is superb. Again, he is patient, informative, easy to talk to. He made this entire experience wonderful. Other than 3 C-sections, this breast reduction is my first major surgery. He made me very comfortable with this process from the very beginning.
