A New Problem Was Created, and the Old One Persists

Dr Verpaele performed ‘nano-fat’ lipofilling to treat my hereditary dark circles under the eyes, caused by thin skin in the eye area). This involves harvesting fat from a donor site and then processing it to extract and inject all the benefits of fat (growth factors, stem cells, etc. ) without adding volume to the targeted treatment area.
The positives:
Dr. Verpaele was accommodating and flexible in arranging a skype session by email before I booked the surgery and travelled to Ghent.
The treatment he offered was original and he seemed very knowledgable about fat transfer; he also made sure I had realistic expectations with regards to the results in the targeted area.
Once the severe bruising had settled, I enjoyed a lovely reduction of the dark circles and pigmentation - but sadly this only lasted a couple of months.
The negatives:
The donor site – my lower abdomen – has been damaged by excessive liposuction and now looks awful, with a strangely-shaped shadow and loss of skin firmness. The doctor did not discuss the possibility of such negative side-effects with me; and since my previous experiences of lipo-filling were gentle and effective, I was not at all prepared for such a needlessly invasive approach.
I have now begun the process of seeking some kind of solution or improvement, and feel very upset as I've been told that improvement will be difficult to achieve, and the risk of further damage is high.
The surgery was also far more traumatic than necessary due to the heavy use of drugs, which I objected to, and the severe bruising lasted 4-5 weeks, rather than the two-week period I had been alerted to.
Certainly not worthwhile for such short-term improvements to the eye area.

On me it lasted over 2 years but I dont mind touch ups
Maybe he or another very experienced liposculpture specialist can fill in that defect/divit and do a second transfer or use fillers for your eye area
