Spectacular Surgeon, Administrative Needs Improvement

Overall, I had a positive experience with the surgeon and the results of my procedures. I would rate the surgeon 5/5. The doctor was very skilled, attentive, and I felt confident in her medical expertise throughout the process. I’m very grateful for the care provided on the clinical side.

However, I would rate the administration and organization closer to 3/5. There were several logistical and communication issues that made the process more stressful than it needed to be. For example, there was unclear communication about certain medications that needed to be purchased, which would have been helpful to know earlier in advance.

None of these issues reflect the doctor’s ability or the quality of the surgical work, which I believe was excellent. But the administrative coordination, communication, and internal organization could definitely be improved to create a smoother experience for patients. With better management on that side, the overall experience would better match the high quality of the medical care.
