Drain free finally!
Good morning my fellow brave souls and let's be honest, what we have decided to do for ourselves is brave! A tummy tuck is not for the light hearted, but wow was it worth it!
So yesterday was my one month post op date and the second drain finally came out. I slept in my own bed ???? I thought I'd post some comparison pictures knowing that my results will improve even more. For some reason my drain site won't stop bleeding so I have a mini pad in there, hence the bulge you see. I am so beyond thrilled with my results. The doc cleared me for exercise and I plan to start slow, just walking for now but I've got an appointment with my trainer in 9 days to get back to where I was before and hopefully kickboxing a month after that. I am hoping these before/after shots will push someone who is waiting to lose weight to go to that consultation and find out if you can have the surgery now! I wish I had done this 20 years ago but I was waiting to lose weight. Good luck to all of you I will update in a couple of months

I love Dr. Reish!
He only removed one drain yesterday and it kinda hurt. I think it may have been the alcohol on the pad when it hit the wound that burned but it was over quick. Like everyone says it feels weird hard to explain and the burning sensation was at the opening. The second drain was still filling too much but let me tell you why I love him. First because I've been bothering him with texts about wanting these out and he being very patient in answering my questions and secondly, because you can just tell he truly cares about his work and how you feel as a patient. I told him I'd lost 15 pounds since surgery and he and his PA Rachel were very excited for me, they both high fived me lol. Second I asked about my lumpy hips and said one was less lumpy than the other and that is the side where the drain was ready to one out. He said the other side would smooth out more when that drain is removed and both sides would smooth out even more over time. He said my results are going to be even better than what I see now because it's only 3 1/2 weeks out. I told him I have a pool party on Tuesday (4th of July) and he said to his PA please go up front and make sure we get her in here on Monday and let's see if we can get the other drain out then. I took some picture and these are at night. I'm much less swollen in the morning
Ups and downs
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Things were just the same for so long, swollen, healing well, Drains are still in! I went back to work on day 15 could only do half a day, the next day same thing. At that point the drains were putting out just under 50cc each. I had an appt with my ps on day 17, worked 6 hours and drove straight there. He said I was still pretty swollen, drains weren't ready to come out. I told him that my drain sites were uncomfortable, in fact the left side was red and painful. He said it didn't look infected by he'd call in an antibiotic for me. I felt so tired and drained by then I went straight home instead of going to pick up the meds. I fell asleep in the recliner and spent the next 24 hours in and out of such a heavy sleep I felt like I was hit by a truck. The next night my husband woke me up and said what's wrong with you, you're scaring me. He said let me call your doctor, there's something wrong. That's when I remembered about the antibiotics, I got a dose in me, slept through the night and when I woke up I felt a little better. Each day I felt a little better until I was back to normal today. I don't know what was wrong but I felt as bad as I did on days 2 and 3. Also, since I got sick the drains were putting out twice as much as normal. As of today, these thing are still putting out 40-50cc each, I don't know how that's possible at this point. It's so hard to hide them and so many people don't know I had this surgery so I feel like I'm in limbo. On the plus side, I've lost 15 pounds since surgery! I don't know how clothes will fit because I can only wear yoga pants and big shirts. Please pray these things come out on Friday as I have two social engagements over the weekend. I don't know to dress up and hide them in this heat. I will post updated pics when these things are out! There's solid stuff in there, they may be removing more fat so that's not a bad thing, right? Anyway hope you all are doing great and hopefully you will her from me in two days that I'm drain free ????
