SUBCISION AND FAT TRANSFER FOR ACNE...
WORTH IT$2,500
SUBCISION AND FAT TRANSFER FOR ACNE SCARS/CRATERS:
Dr. Sadove is truly an artist and i respect his technique. He made sure that the procedure was PAINLESS. It was PAINLESS! Even the area where he did lipo on the hip to take that fat and bring it under my facial scars. He recommended fat since fillers don't last...WHY DON'T OTHER SURGEONS TELL YOU THIS?! I felt comfortable in his care and i felt like I could trust being in his hands because of his knowledge and confidence in this procedure. I am 35 y/o and have been suffering for years with trying to get rid of acne scarring from high school. It's been a frustrating process with little improvements and lots of money spent. I got this procedure two days ago and am still healing so I can't speak of the outcome yet but I can speak on the actual surgery. He made sure I didn't feel anything...He even had the staff massage my feet to calm me down during the procedure with relaxing music, distracting conversation, positive affirmations and soft touches of the hand every now and then. He even numbed me before numbing me so i didn't even feel the needles!!! Dr. Sadove is very professional, confident in his work and highly skilled with his technique. He spent 3 hours on me when we were only supposed to do 1 hour...He told his next appointment they had to wait since i changed my mind at not getting CO2 laser and this treatment instead at the last minute. The Dr was even gracious enough NOT TO CHARGE ME EXTRA for a more intense procedure. I am thankful to have found him because he seems to be more informed, experienced and advanced with his technique in some areas than other surgeons but allows you to decide in the end on what is best for you personally. In the end, I chose what he felt was best for my acne scars since I still had acne scars after 2 intense CO2 LASER treatments and have been tired of the same old results. Any other surgeon would recommend CO2 LASER but he was clear on the fact that CO2 LASER is not the best solution at getting rid of craters from acne. Thousands of dollars later I wish someone would have said so sooner. I watched YouTube videos after my surgery (I went in not knowing what it was exactly) and realized patients were complaining of pain during the Subcision process. I had no pain with Dr. Sadove. I also saw how some surgeons went in through all areas of the face which you'd think would leave scars but Dr Sadove went in through the corners of the mouth...brilliant!!! Hopefully the outcome is as brilliant as Dr Sadove's technique and skill level during the surgery. I will keep everyone updated on realself.com on my progress under "acnescarringprincess." I will also have more details by the end of this month!!

YAY!!! please do keep us updated!! it seems all is going well and I heard swelling is to be expected, I pray for your recoop!! It is soo hard to find surgeons who advise fat transfer, you are correct, every surgeon consulted on my part also said lasers were the best. Do you have any icepick scarring/ how would you describe your scars? I hope you don't mind. I would like to do something like this and maybe even with the same surgeon haha if you don't mind me tagging. But lololol I'm my second course off accutane.. not sure if fat transfer is advised for a 21 yearold but it seems the best thing.. idk all plastic surgeons I talked to said to try fillers.. with this I'm hesitant if they are just wanting me to come back to pay more or are being prudent wiith their skill and judgement that the fat may grow... hmm.. You said that you'd struggled with this for a while I'm sorry about that I know it must've been tought. I hope that you're next strides will be more easier. Alas, It is hard to find a good doctor and Im glad your sharing your journey with us!! Besides the operation I have to compliment that your eyes and bone structure are very stricking and the first thing I noticed about you profile.

Thank you so much for the compliments...MUCH NEEDED right now. :)
Yes, i recommend going to this surgeon for a consultation. Most surgeons i have called charge for just a consultation, which is ridiculous because what if you don't like that Dr?? You lose $50-75? Silly to me. I would have to see your skin to have any sort of an opinion on what to do or not. I took accutane a long time ago. You must be thrilled! I was so happy when i saw all my acne start to clear up. However, the sure thing that took away my breakouts was taking dairy completely out of my diet. I wish i would have known then what i know now about how my body reacts to dairy. -__-
CO2 laser helped, home remedies for hyperpigmentation and microdermobrasion helps with the surface but with craters, this Dr recommends this method. I am not a fan of fillers myself but if you want instant results you may want that. I think Bellafill lasts for years. Might be worth looking into for you since subcision isnt recommended right after accutane. Honestly, i think i would have done best just doing subcision and fat transfer without excision only because i now seem to have worse craters but these may heal over, it's only the 9th day. JUST CONCERNED. I am still swollen a little too so maybe when the swelling goes down completely and the excision marks lighten and collagen is increased, maybe then i can give you a more accurate outcome of this procedure. I would love to see some photos of the condition of your skin, if you don't mind.

Hi,Hun!! How are things holding up? Sorry to get back so late, I hope your doing fine, checked your update and things are looking good:)) Those concerns are very much respected and would be an obvious thing to by worried about, wouldn't be too trifled though because it seems the swollen part has gone down.
Regardless if it's too earrly to say..the results are undeniable!! I'm sure this procedure will end very well! Thank you for the support by the way, accutane was a godsend for my acne but the scars that remain are dismaying at times when I reflect on them. I can only hope to find a good doctor , I am glad to have found your journey because just in observing I can tell this is something that should be on my list. I would actually love it if you took a look at my scarring to see if you think this procedure would be appropriate for me. And any advice would also be greatly appreciated. I pray today has been good to you and your healing is going well!! I will send you a pm of me scarring if thats okay. I'm kind of embarrased to show a public album but I also have some photos on my profile from some questions I have asked. Thanks again, it's really an immense favor!!

I just realized that there are no attachments in the messaging system.. either way I might as well ask on realself about my scarring again since it has changed a bit with age. I will be posting a question so take a look soon!!

I will be posting more photos on Tuesday, as it will be a month post op and i must say that i am pleased with the subcision and auto fat grafting underneath. My excision scars are lightening and filling in still so i can't say anything about that yet. Ill go read your PM. :) I recommend subcision with auto fat grafting by Dr Sadove. If not him, make sure it is with someone with a lot of experience in this exact procedure like my Dr if trying this. Some people i have seen had to do subcision a few times...even more. My Dr doesn't seem to think i will need it again after this heals completely. It feels so good to actually not be bashful to stand under a light or have bad lighting while taking a photo. So glad i did this. It is scary the first 3-4 weeks because there is so much healing taking place.

Yes that point you made with subsicion worries me! I know I'm only 21 but I do really believe the best filler is our own. That being fat. I'm hopeful about your procedure and will be making a visit to at least consult with your doctor, the thing that worries me is chubby cheeks but idk they say that because of age and "maintenance weight AKA how it fluctuates". I have in conduction with my past acne a disorder called pcps idk if you've heard about it but basically I have to maintain a healthy weight my whole life so maybe I can go worth with it,here's to praying!!! Thank You, Love for posting, this has really helped a ton and I'm sure others are grateful as well:)) On a last note, Would you say better to leave the ice pick scars alone and not do excision? It seems it is too early to tell as the sutures may not be up to par on the end result till 6 months but I wish you well!!!

I would trust what Dr Sadove recommends. I have updated more photos. Let me know what you end up doing! I am excited for you because i really feel he can help you. My "chubby" cheeks are going down. I recommend it with the auto fat grafting stem cells so far. Other methods are with saline and suction but those aren't effective like putting cushion underneath the craters. However, i will know for sure if i like the outcome in a couple months. So far i am pleased and hopefully wont have to go back for a second treatment.

You look amazing. I just got chicken pox scars between my eyebrows and I'm waiting a year for it to "mature" so I can do somethin about it :)

Your face looks SO good. I'm happy for you. I'm looking into doing the same thing.

SUBCISION & FAT TRANSFER FOR ACNE SCARS
Here are photos following my progress from the day of the procedure. I realized that i can't find anything online showing the healing process for this particular procedure so i figured i would help someone else by documenting my journey of the subcision with fat transfer combination that was done by Dr Richard Sadove in Gainesville, Florida.

Thank you for sharing! I didn't realize this could be something I could do for my acne scars! And the improvement looks amazing. All the best!

How much did you pay???

November 28, 2016
2500. I will be updating photos on Tuesday as it will be a complete month since my post op. I lie the results from the subcision and auto fat grafting. Face looks way smoother under lights. Can't say for sure about the excision as it is still healing. Pics and updates in a couple days! :)

Day 5 post op
A little less swollen. Had post op appt & Dr Sadove said it's normal to have swelling for at least 2 weeks & to not monitor it until bruising goes away on my hip where he took the fat cells.
Thank you for starting your review. I look forward to your updates -- good luck!
